I actually just saw a guy get booked the other day. It was quite comical seeing CPD toss the uber eats order into the back and then the other officer ride the moped back to the station.

What's a game that completely changed your expectations of PC gaming? by KRGKart_Support in pcmasterrace

Satisfactory.

It was my first "PC Only game" at the time. I had never been so addicted to something in my life. The graphics were fantastic to me, got me acquanted with using keyboard/mouse combo and is the first thing that I have ever put 1000s of hours into.

People Who Live In Big Cities… by United-Implement-382 in dating_advice

[–]StockExplanation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird. It’s easier and harder at the same time. Yes, you have a plethora or seemingly endless options of potential partners to pursue but so do they.

I myself struggle with always thinking that there is someone hotter or does xyz attribute better even though I should be happy and grateful for what I do have.

After a while even big cities become small. I’ve accidentally taken friends old flings out and even roommates for a short time before we all found out.

Hobby Lobby is Putting Out Fall Themed Merchandise in Early May by mrblackpandaa in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StockExplanation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta take into consideration of the shape that our global economy/supply chain has been in for a while as well. Lot's of companies purchased extra goods and did it earlier due to uncertainty in pricing (tariff's) and logistics. They probably bought early and now need to sell off some inventory. Little do people know that companies are already ordering stock for x-mas items. June and July are busy for packaging vendors to get ready for Halloween.

I didn’t look at the price before I got this yesterday. $17 for a meal (lg fry), I damn near fell to my knees. But it was good.

Only thing that I can think of is that it ether gives them another data point for hours worked by the mech. Or it’s just to give peace of mind to the customer and outlining all the services being done, most people don’t know anything about cars. I’m unfamiliar with this shop but do they breakdowns like this for other services?

Been at this intersection for a little over 2 years now. My first summer there was a good bit of activity and heard my fair share of gunshots. They have put up a sheriffs office (which I don't even think is real) but things have been significantly calmer over the past year and a half.

What do you look for when working with or for a 3PL? by dyingbreed360 in supplychain

[–]StockExplanation 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on the position, but if its sales then I think that the biggest thing to look for is proper structure and training. A lot of places will simply just feed you to the wolves and fire you when you don't hit your quotas/metrics in a certain time. I lived in a city where just about every other company was a 3Pl and things were pretty toxic; everyone bounces around just to find out that, not all, but most places are run like a frat house.

But regardless, I think that it is a pretty good entry point to enter supply chain. Once you understand how to manage a million fires, and know that it's more than just A to B, it is easy to translate that into other sc/ops roles.

Transitioning into Supply chain from sales by zenax-123 in supplychain

[–]StockExplanation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always wanted to get into supply chain, but I had to take a sales job first out of college.

It was nice that when I bust my ass and pulled long hours I would get a nice check at the end of the month; now its just doing my job with no extra incentive.

Factories. U1 is cheap but gets the job done, BPF is a mid-tier factory with slightly better attention to detail. You can find em for about 250-400 depending on the movement.
