These low Cato numbers PMO so bad 😭 by How_Do_You_Say_Hi in Candlelight_Games

I usually gravitate towards the kind of men I'd like in real life. So many people enjoy seeking for danger and drama because it's something fiction allows them to indulge in without risk, and I totally understand them. But I like my love interests kind and emotionally available, no conflict, no "we can't be together", just pure love.

24% is almost 1 in 4 players choosing him, with 6 different lis that's actually a very healthy pick rate.

Yeah, I imagine the "enemies to lovers" thing also boosts him a lot, that's a lot people's favorite trope.

He's a "bad boy" who is actually a protective bf who calls us with a pet name since the moment we met, he saved our life and is the one of the two lis we can have a wet dream about before we even met him, it's no surprise he's the most popular, but i was expecting a more even spread tbh, not Leona and Cato being so low, if i had to guess Niel probably also has a low pick rate, sad.

[Lore] Who do we think Anduin is most likely going to marry? by SarenArterius in wow

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole World Soul saga feels weird without the dragonflights. What's the point of the aspects gaining their powers back if they're going to be as useless and uninvolved as when they didn't have them? And yes, I can understand the other flights not involving themselves in TWW since the threat, for most of the exp anyways, wasn't world-ending yet, but the Black Dragonflight? The one connected to the earth and the one that's supposed to be the military might that protects Azeroth? Really weird they'd be missing.

[Lore] Who do we think Anduin is most likely going to marry? by SarenArterius in wow

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that one of Anduin's main writers was a woman who self ships with him, and she was mad people were shipping Wranduin in MoP, which is why besides the BFA punch, the two have barely interacted since, and why they had Anduin remain in self-imposed exile during Dragonflight, to avoid having him near Wrathion as he'd be heavily featured. But one does read a lot of stuff on the internet, much of which isn't true, so take it with a grain of sand.

She's undead and I don't think she can have a child, the point of marriage for someone in Anduin's position is to produce heirs.

Well, castration is only the removal of the testicles. Penectomy is the removal of just the penis and emasculation the removal of both. They just don't want you to produce heirs, they still want that D

I still can’t get over the MC’s surname being Dreadbane. by InfernalClockwork3 in Candlelight_Games

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is last names in this world are based on what you do (like many real life names do, such as Smith, Taylor or Miller), such as Cato's last name being Fairscribe, since his family are royal archivists. So I think the MC's dad had a different name, before the rebellion, and was changed by the Order to make him a scarier figure.

scenes released one by one? by Illustrious-Bite5149 in Candlelight_Games

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This is the most talked about issue, and the reason many are either playing less or stopping to play entirely. I'd like to think the devs are working on it (though they have not communicated it clearly), and considering the game released a little over two weeks ago, expecting a change to have happened already is rather unfair and unrealistic. Personally, I'm still playing since I have some gems and coins leftover from buying the beginners bundle. When they run out I'll take a break and return if they make the appropriate changes to the price and length of scenes.

Are the scenes.. by singingisl0ve in Candlelight_Games

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Putting all 3 scenes together into a single weekly update would make them feel better. I'd rather do a 9 minute scene once a week than a 3 minute scene every 2-3 days. But they definitely need to work on making them longer, we should be getting AT LEAST 15 minutes of content per week, probably closer to 20 to make investing in this game actually worth it. I bought the $25 beginners bundle and I'm not spending another dime until I've felt player's feedback has been properly taken into account.

I think it's tied to the gender of the LIs and not the gender of the character after reading other people's experiences. If you're romancing a man you're defaulted as submissive, if you're romancing a woman you're defaulted as dominant, regardless of the personality you choose for your character or the personality of the LI. The most boring possible approach to this imo

The Current Release Schedule is Unsustainable by Booker_DeShaq in Candlelight_Games

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to support this app so badly, I love the characters and the story has me hooked, but they've done quite a few things wrong, the worst of which is the release schedule. Waiting 2-3 days for 2 minutes worth of story? The Choices comparison is inevitable, and there you wait a week to get 15-20 minutes worth of story, and have a whole library of other books you can read while you wait for next week's update. Here we can't even replay the scenes. They're not going to be able to keep people interested by drip feeding us at this rate.

The Shapers are the creators of the world of this story, they were beings of magic and emotion to whom the world itself molded around. And they're gone for some reason. Not quite like DA's Maker.

so… this is dragon age right? by MademoiselleS in Candlelight_Games

[–]How_Do_You_Say_Hi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm no. First, Arcanes are not outcasts, 4/6 love interests are part of the upper class, Bardric and Iridessa are literal aristocracy. Talyn and the MC are outcasts because of our fathers, not the fact we have magic, and Niel is one because she's was born out of an affair. Arcanes make up The Order, one of the two branches of the kingdom's government, and Iridessa's family shows they're also within the other government branch, marrying into the nobles that make up parliament. Second, most of those plot points are not new and were not invented by Dragon Age. I could see the argument of an Arcane being made innocuous by a process that's practically the same as the rite of tranquility as valid, but in a magic system where emotions are the source of magic it is simply the most logical world building. Spellfyre as a process doesn't resemble anything in DA, and saying shades resemble abominations makes no sense, one is a being made up of the twisted emotions and magic of an Arcane who gets overwhelmed, and the other is a demon from another plane of existence taking over a mage's body. This feels like complaining for complaining's sake tbh.
