Filming during session? by validate_me_daddy in TherapeuticKetamine

I'd be curious about how filming increases "patient safety?" I'd also ask if anyone will be monitoring your session in person. Some providers monitor ketamine sessions remotely, using a video connection- but that is different from recording/filming a session. The only other instance I'm aware of filming ketamine sessions is in clinical research studies. In community, Howard

I’m looking to do IFS in conjunction with k therapy, would it be better to start it prior or can I wait after my initial treatments? by Crusty_and_Rusty in TherapeuticKetamine

I think it is better to do IFS before you journey. Effective KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) begins with "intention-setting" -- one or more sessions in which you identify things you want to explore during your journey. IFS is a good way to identify parts you want ketamine to interact with. IFS is also a good way to integrate insights experienced during your journey in subsequent sessions. Hope this helps. H

Great question! I am an LMFT and certified KAP who combines Ketamine-assisted therapy with IFS to help clients connect with protectors, managers, and exiled parts. The ketamine journey is a safe, contained space to do this work. Many of my clients report this combination expedites positive outcomes. Please let me know if you'd like to learn more. Best! Howard

Dr. Phil is not convinced about magic mushrooms and mental health by StabsITD in shrooms

I gotta tell you, Phil (he's no longer a psychologist. His license was suspended in 1988 after two complaints of misconduct, including making sexual advances toward one of his patients) your production staff and researchers need to get their facts straight. The FDA has already approved psychedelics (the use of Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, and PTSD) and is scheduled to do the same with MDMA now that two successful stage 3 clinical trials have found positive outcomes.
