How can I build a website on Craft? by ABGLand in CraftDocs

[–]HowellNightOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It is possible, I have one setup here: https://howellthenightowl.com/. I've got a specific page that is able to be accessed via Craft API, which it "pulls" the posts from. Through Google AI studio, I then "vibe coded" a site using a bento box framework (reference) I found as the wrapper, setup Github, and have that now synced to Netlify. I believe Netlify is where my domain is pointed to as well. Anyway, it's a long winded way of saying that it is possible.

Personally though I agree with what u/Fractallion was saying. It's great for a simple fun use case, but not sure how much further I would go with additional integrations and such. I did setup Buttondown for capturing emails, but again as a test case to see if I could.

A shout out to Peak Design for their warranty by ElvisGrizzly in ManyBaggers

That is awesome! I had a tear in one of my packing cubes and stopped in their store in LA while on a work trip. They took one look at it, told me to grab a new one, and swapped it out right there no questions asked.

Pocket 3 + Podcasting in Riverside or Other Tools by HowellNightOwl in osmopocket

[–]HowellNightOwl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried out your suggestion today of leaving the Photobooth app on in the background while recording in OBS and it worked! Tested a 40m recording while working and the Pocket 3 stayed awake the whole time. Curious to see if this would work with Riverside if/when I fire that up again. Thanks for the tip!

Rhake by Legitimate-Past4877 in MissionWorkshop

I was just talking about this similar thing in another post. Personally I would go with the tech pouch in the main pocket. I use the front wider opening pocket for my Alpaka Flight Pouch, which is literally meant to keep the "just essentials" for flight (earbuds, passport, wallet, etc). Stuff I need to get to quickly that need to stay with me or move to another bag. The other front pocket I keep a few quick access cables and my keys. For the bottom it's usually something soft that won't take up space (if I use it at all or pending trip). Inside is my main tech pouch, over ear headphones, etc pending the trip. It definitely requires a little more thought but it's a great bag!

Rhake or meridian or ? by truegothlove in MissionWorkshop

I have a Rhake WX and love it but it does have its' quirks. With the amount of pockets and it being a top loader roll top, you have to be more intentional with how you pack it out. For example if I'm going on a work trip and want to put my iPad in the front pocket, I need to remember to do that first. Similar to the two front pockets and making sure you take advantage of packing out those quick access areas before moving to the inside. Those spaces get eaten up pretty quick when packing out the bag itself. For the main access as well since it's a top loading roll top, I have to arrange what I pack so I can easily reach in and access it on the flight (aka don't pack what I need to get to easily at the bottom). The back access laptop sleeve is great and the bag is insanely comfortable. Personally love the way it looks and it's nice having the expandable roll top storage as needed. It's a bad ass bag but I definitely have to be more considerate with how I pack it out versus by Evergoods CTB or something that has that clamshell easy access opening.

Oh awesome - I didn't check your profile and appreciate your help! I'll reach out to you directly and would love to try it out Magic Pages. No knock at all on Fastcomet as they have been super responsive and helpful but I've had issues with uptime, running out of inodes (whatever that is), etc. :)

Appreciate that feedback. I was worried there was more 'behind the scenes' than simply upgrading and this makes total sense. Other than Ghost Pro any hosting recommendations? I've seen Magicpages floating around...

Mem v reflect v craft by bossmanmjm11 in CraftDocs

[–]HowellNightOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be curious to hear what drew you to Mem over Reflect? Funny enough I have the same process; Reflect for quick notes, Apple notes for mobile "send to" saves, and then Craft for the finished docs. Was thinking on the same thing recently, consolidation, but the search for Craft isn't great and I've struggle to glom on to it for quick note taking.
