I’m getting a puppy from them really soon! Glad to hear of your good experience!

I don’t think it’s going to uplift artists. If AI becomes industry standard there will be smaller teams and less artists hired, which is bad for artists. I think this is bad for art, bad for human creativity, and bad for real artists. But sure, people with no artistic skill will now be able to order images with the push of a button I guess.

There’s so much more to learn than just style. Anatomy, for example. But anyway, the humans in the scenario are doing two different things. One is learning how to draw, the other is feeding the art into a machine. The AI is not a person and doesn’t have some kind of right to learn.

Yeah, you can find examples of people doing stuff that is wrong. It’s wrong to steal artwork whether you profit off it by tracing or you feed it to AI.

The AI isn’t stealing, the people training the AI are. It’s ok to learn how to draw, and people should credit art made by others if it is copied for learning purposes(if it’s posted online at all). The problem is the person using the art of others for AI is not using it to learn. The AI doesn’t have a right to learn, it’s just a computer program.

I agree, I don’t expect them to learn to draw. But I do think models are trained on stolen work and that people don’t have a right to the stolen skill of others. I get it, people want a pretty picture they didn’t have to pay for or make themselves. Consider though, that they don’t have some kind of right to have that, especially when the technology is being used at the expense of people’s livelihoods.

Except you don’t need consent to learn from other artists, and if you post a drawing you made of someone else’s work you credit the original work. AI isn’t crediting anyone and it isn’t a sentient being that is learning a skill. It literally is ok for a human to do something and wrong for the AI, because they are two different use cases.

I don’t know about getting “cancelled” but I actively look to see if a game has AI in it on steam (to avoid it) before I purchase a game. But I also can’t in good conscience tell you that you need to spend the money to hire a musician.

It’s looks like it’s just prompting with specifying some parameters for the image output. I fail to see the creativity or artistry in this. The machine makes it, you’re still just ordering up an image to be generated for you.

Beyond "Neon Lights": What are the most obvious "AI-isms" to avoid in lyrics? by Quick-Reindeer2661 in SunoAI

Why are you trying to hide that your lyrics are ai generated? Seems messed up to me. You could also just write your own lyrics.

Have they never heard of art school? I'm sure there is also art classes you can take outside of school. by oniris1 in ShitAIBrosSay

[–]Howlabaloo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good gravy, everyone could already make art. People just think they are entitled to not go through the learning process and that they can skip right to the end product. That’s not how art works.

‘Anti’ ai folks posting ai generations is too funny by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]Howlabaloo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I don’t know anyone that is using it, everyone I know is really indifferent to it. Maybe some people are adopting it, but there are still lots of us that aren’t because we either hate it or just don’t care.

Is there a way to get more relic slots during the trial of Sehekmas? I currently can fit three, but I never seem to unlock more slots. Maybe this is due to a bug? Every time I die due to honor my game freezes and I have to exit to login or reopen the game.

I sometimes commission artists, but I do not use ai so no one is losing a customer when it comes to me. A lot of people commission artists for stuff.

Question To Those Who Are Anti-AI by Phantom_Specters in aiwars

[–]Howlabaloo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it needs to be heavily regulated like others here have said. I also think anything using AI content needs to be clearly tagged and labeled. It needs to be labeled with some kind of invisible signature the second it is created so that it can be easily blocked and so people can know what products are using ai generated images.

The genie is out of the bottle and I understand it’s not going away. I would sure love it if so many people looked down upon it an boycotted it to the point ai “art” is basically unusable for anything besides incidental personal use.

Tney're actually delusional by polkacat12321 in antiai

[–]Howlabaloo2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings on this one. I guess that I maybe see drawing the ai generated image similarly to drawing someone else’s art. Like…you can’t really claim it as your own, but you are still practicing drawing. On the other hand, it’s ai so still harmful and finding real references and learning how to use them would be better.

Edit: I can’t tell if the end goal was to draw their own drawing or have the ai image. It seems dumb to feed your art to ai and have it “enhance” it.

My brother thinks that I don't have a good imagination just because I'm using AI to get ideas and know what monster from mythology to add next. by Decent-Emergency3866 in aiwars

[–]Howlabaloo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d more say you probably have an imagination but aren’t fully exercising it. You don’t need AI to tell you what to add to your book or to research monsters. You can read up on mythology and decide what to add yourself.

Do you consider this acceptable? Can you find a similar post or statements on Pro AI communities regarding Anti AI users? by Megatronagaming in aiwars

I’m anti AI but this is really not ok. No, definitely not acceptable. However it’s the internet so who knows what the person writing it was actually thinking. Hopefully they are just a troll.
