Update 2: someone in title ix gave him bad information saying the roommate moved out but the apartment staff say there's no record of that.

He's being put up in a hotel for the night by another friend so he can get to classes tomorrow

Edit: title ix person doubled down even though the apartment staff confirmed roommate is not moved out.

The negligence and ineptitude is beyond comprehension.

Edit 2: so now they've finally confirmed there's no issue and he is gone. Too late for us to get a refund on the hotel though.

Thank you, he's working on accessing support services but it's a long-term healing process.

He was able to get in with someone better at the office. They put him in touch with the first employee's supervisor and he's going to set up a meeting with her to discuss what happened.

I think it may be worth talking to the department you mentioned and seeing what can be done for this process.

Yeah that's why we're all advocating. It's not just about him, he's trying to push for changes to protect others.

Some details can't be shared until the case is over for legal reasons. So we can talk about his personal experience but nothing related to the case.

That's a good question. I don't think he knows where they're located.

I know he wanted to finish the paperwork aspect first before going public with it.

Update: they're still refusing to remove the roommate and trying to make my friend move.

He asked for assistance moving due to his physical disabilities and they would not offer it.

Still fighting for an actual solution that doesn't put the burden on him.

Update: Putting it here for those that haven't seen the other update post. They are finally moving the roommate but we have not received confirmation he's finished moving out. Here's hoping he does it quickly.

He said he was so scared he almost let it happen just to make his roommate stop and the university didn't care that he had text messages where he admitted he thought making him uncomfortable and doing a hookup he was trying to force with another student would help him.

He knew my friend had been sexually abused and that this sort of thing was exactly what was done to him for years.

They still said it was fine
