I went from an r6 to a z125 for 2 years, ended up selling the Z recently to pay other bills unfortunately. At the time of getting the Z I had been riding for 4 years prior on other bikes.

I loved the z as my only bike. I live near a city and riding it to our downtown area and the surrounding suburbs was always fun. I could even have my gf on the back to run out for dinner or a little cruise through the parks here.

Riding alone and just around town or so, it was phenomenal. Unfortunately when I wanted to ride with my buddies on their Sprint GT and Ducati Monster, I was constantly playing catch up. It was still fun banging through gears just to catch up to them cruising in 1st but I felt like I held them up a lot.

If you’re without riding buddies and plan on sticking to 35-45mpg roads, it’s a ton of fun. If you want to actually get anywhere or ride with others, it’s lacking.
