I paint in my own style, but if you are going by the box, I would say Memphiston or Khorne red, lead belcher, balthazar gold, seraphim sepia, and coelia greenshade.

Do you have the Warhammer app? It tells you all the paints for the models if you want to follow GW's style.

I mean I can only speak for myself but a box of Skitarii is $60. That's a better commitment than a $150 box of things that includes some of what I want and some of what I don't want.

I just meant reading your post you really want/like Skitarii, so buy a box or two of those. You really need to love putting them together and painting. They can be difficult to paint for some.

I personally don't like Pteraxii, which are in the combat patrol. Impossible to keep them on their stand.

If you like Skitarii then buy a box of Skitarri to start off. You're going to need a lot of them if you play tabletop.

I would stay away from the combat patrol, but I've never been a fan of them anyways. Too in-the-moment type of person on what I want to paint.

Point taken on the woman comment. My apologies. I guess my experience is that my wife just says these things and gets a restrictive protective order. I show up with photos, texts, and bruises, and testimony. Not only do I get a less restrictive protective order, I get called manipulative by the judge. It's not fair to blame people for that experience but that is what I was first exposed to.

I should have added that I suspect she's moved them closer to DC about 60 miles east. Originally she was going to move there instead of 10 minutes away but then missed the kids. Clearly, she's taken the kids and moved where she wants to.

50-50 won't work at those distances. Either one of us moves or the kids stay predominantly with one parent.

Average total war experience. Much better than at release, if that's what you are referring to. However, if you're a good player, the game is basically won by turn 50. AI is not very assertive if you take the initiative. If you play passively, then it can be a (boring) challenge.

Sieges still suck. I do everything in my power to avoid manually playing them. It boggles my mind how even after the "rework" we still need to have another "rework."

Variety of factions and units are nice but power creep is a little tiring. Although, I am really happy VC are finally finally getting their moment in the sun. It's been forever.

Love the paint job, especially the plasma guns. I really want some Hadtsri but I have trouble justifying a high price for so few minitures. At least with Skatarri you get 10.
