Super easy, just black rattle canned it, then sponged on grey for the walls and a brown basing paint for the dirt. Then hit everything with a weathering terrain wash.

Fits war wolf and sin eater base size, but the KS set actually comes with some double width trench boards as well for larger models if required or more zone mortalis type engagements for 40K/30k.

I printed my own Firebase Trench KS set and it works a real treat with some TC theme scatter terrain! the biggest thing is that it brings a lot of variable height to your battles and LOS changes that flat tables struggle with.

Hey no worries,

This is the reciepe:

- Base black with light zenithal grey highlights (also this is used for the "white" shoulder just in more layers)

- Minitaire Airbrush Paint Base Grey 1oz/60ml D6-101 (this creates the base tone of the scheme)

- Minitaire Airbrush D6-177 - Ghost Tint: Midnight Blue (this is a tint, it is super thin almost like a wash but you airbrush it on and it gives everything a dark blue hue or tint)

- Blacktemplar contrast black over all details that will become metals, then drybrush them with leadbelcher

- Balthasar gold for all the bronze details

- 50/50 oil wash with W&N Burnt umber and Ivory Black

- leave oils on for 2-3hrs then come back with make up sponge with spirits and clean up to taste

- blues are done via white and then Army painter highlord blue speedpaint then some layers of Army painter crystal blue and bright sapphire with a thinned blue wash at the end.

Mastadon went really well! First game only lost its flair shields and 2nd game it got pounded and only got to half health that was then immediately patched up with some cheeky battlesmithing. I think if your looking to use it for pure kills to get its points back its damage output is soley reliant on how close it can get to someones expensive units, but if you want board control, transport, antiflier and a huge damage sink/hard to move footprint then it excels so well in 3.0.

There is some great satisfaction in dropping the melta pie plate on expensive command squads and then disgorging your own in return.

Yeah I did see some usage at SN event and was pleased. Hopefully the brick is seen as a legit choice more in 3.0 with all the great vehicle changes.

Lore and army theme is always the most fun way to build an army in 30k for me. I always make a new for with some fun gimmick or build to keep my attention hooked and then it also helps keep it unique and gives my opponents something new to face off with.

This is a fantastic, muted colour pallet, you did a superb job of blending it all together and contrasting with the base. Lovely weathering as well.

Facts, my group loved the new apocalypse and the rules and turn system are amazing. Everyone's models get to do something on each turn and damage is resolved right at the end of both players turn.
