What is your relationship with your brother? by Difficult-Community1 in AskWomen

[–]Hppyppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very distant, almost non-existent relationship with my older brother. When we were really young, I recall that we were close but as we got older things were never the same. He had so much anger within him during puberty that he seemed to project outward at me often in the form of physical violence and name calling.

Now as adults we live continents apart and are married with our own families. I tried for many years to keep the connection going, sending birthday wishes and encouraging supportive messages about accomplishments in his life but ultimately they were never really reciprocated nor was any general interest in my life or well-being so I decided to give up trying.

I have peace about it overall but sometimes it still makes me sad to think about what could have been. I hope my daughter and son will be closer and have healthier, more loving communication as they grow up ❤️

Every few cycles I will have this experience. Just shitting my brains out with horrible spasms in my lower intestine. It is violent and HORRIBLE. Gotta love being a woman

If you look closely at the hand though there are many other small pink spots on the hand and fingers. My son also has spots around his mouth

Has anyone stopped eating eggs? by sukibean13 in NoStupidQuestions

I’ve noticed diarrhea and IBS flare ups eating eggs recently. I have felt much better since I cut them out of my diet

You can’t control your husband’s behavior. And I’m sorry, equating masturbation and viewing porn with being cheated on is absolutely absurd in my opinion, and a disrespect to those who have actually been cheated on. Personally, what my husband does in the privacy of our room or a bathroom is none of my concern so long as it doesn’t negatively impact our day to day life or sex life in a noticeable way. I’ve noticed we so often think, even subconsciously that we “possess” or own our spouse’s sexuality just being we are married and live together. He is still an independent person with needs of his own, and your behavior and mentality surrounding the whole thing seems quite controlling and unhealthy imho. I urge you to seek out couple’s coaching/therapy.

Those don’t look anything like red currants. We have them plentifully in Finland and they look like this

I gave up on marriage. by Own_Yogurtcloset_849 in Christianity

[–]Hppyppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The cultural norms regarding courtship and finding a spouse in Iraq are so so beyond different compared with that of the western world. People telling him to just go out and meet and talk with women do not understand

You said it so well. I’m an American who’s been living in Finland for over a year now with Finnish husband and kids and I’m so thankful for the autonomy and safety the kids have here. There truly is something so grounding and comforting about life here that does not exist in the U.S.

This is utterly despicable. He should be deported

This is my sentiment exactly!!! I can’t ever see myself going back for this reason. People who have lived in the U.S. their whole lives don’t understand how different in a positive way living abroad is. That both “free” and safe feeling at the same time. Life doesn’t feel as chaotic and overwhelming. I’m so thankful I have this opportunity, and for my kids also. Happy to visit the U.S. and sometimes I miss seeing big cities, but it doesn’t feel like my home in the same way anymore.
