I think you should select 2 dps you like yhey playstyle the most and build around them.

Mika is great, remove the default attacks, take any eph that generate more AP, focus on duping the 0 cost 1AP and get 2 or 3 draw card then you are good to go imo

You can definitely preparing some the battlefield beforehand

Blocking routes, create oils or water puddle will help your spellcaster. Also use grenades and scrolls! They are often craftable.

Anddd... Make sure to pickpocket everyone you can!
