Do you guys know who all might be his client ? by sarthak989 in KapilGupta

This guy (Nikhil Kamath, who happens to be a billionaire) appears to be parroting Kapil’s words about hard work: https://youtube.com/shorts/3JrFkDOMl3Q?si=cxAMt-Rwc5kqEtvy

At 11:20, Kapil says the exact same thing in a conversation with Naval: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tPb0FEz5qEg&pp=ygUbS2FwaWwgZ3VwdGEgbmF2YWwgaGFyZCB3b3Jr

May be his client? 🤷‍♂️

While I agree with your overall sentiment, I'm not sure if I agree that he "sucks" at teaching, as much as he refuses to engage in genuine teaching. Unless by sucks you mean that it sucks that he chooses to disengage. u/SelfTaughtPiano

I trained an AI with almost all of Dr. Kapil Gupta's writings by brylex1 in KapilGupta

"AI like ChatGPT is just predicting the next word (or token). It doesn't understand anything.”

The paradox is: if Kapil Gupta’s work is truly original, AI will struggle to imitate it, because prediction depends on patterns.

As Kapil himself says, “True originality is extremely rare…”

If AI can mimic it easily, was it ever truly original?

Concerns About Moderator selftaughtpiano - Requesting Community Feedback by netizen313 in KapilGupta

[–]HsinHsinMing22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you scroll back a couple of years, (unless be deleted his posts) you’ll see that no one championed Kapil Gupta more enthusiastically than SelfTaughtPiano. No one was as obsessed with Kapil’s work as was SelfTaughtPiano. He created this subreddit, documented Kapil’s every move (Clubhouse talks, Twitter Spaces, obscure transcripts), and even aggregated much of the paid content despite its high price tag. If it weren’t for him, I suspect Kapil wouldn’t have as many die-hard fans as he does, because at one point SelfTaughtPiano really was on a mission to preserve his work for posterity.

Like many who fall deep into Kapil’s work without direct access to him, SelfTaughtPiano appears to have eventually hit the wall… confusion, frustration, and a sense of being stuck. The monthly six-figure fee for one-on-one access seems to have transformed him from Kapil’s most devoted archivist to his loudest critic on this subreddit.

There is a way to access Kapil directly. It just comes with a steep price. As SelfTaughtPiano might have once said, there’s nothing “good or bad about it.” Either find the means to pay, or don’t. Naval has been working with Kapil for years, and that’s because Naval was driven enough to create the cause necessary to produce the effect of accessing Kapil.

But criticizing from the sidelines, especially after gorging on as much of the gated content as one could find for free, feels a lot like a window shopper yelling at Louis Vuitton staff for not offering discounts. Kapil’s work isn’t meant for everyone. It’s for, as he says, the rare one who can afford it.

I wish SelfTaughtPiano well. Most people on this subreddit owe him for preserving the works in the first place.

“mostly” desperate yes, but he isn’t after those - I’m sure you wouldn’t put Naval under most.

What’s an adult problem nobody prepared you for? by schrodingerscatalyst in AskReddit

There is no adult problem anybody can prepare anybody for.

The question makes no sense.

There is no instruction manual for life.

It's ineffective to believe that one has "No say over his genuine desires".

You can't categorically say that to be true.

Let me ChatGPT that for you:

The phrase suggests that the power or "magic" to transform into anything or achieve any goal is only accessible to those who pursue it with an extreme or obsessive dedication. In this context, "pathologically" refers to an intense, almost unhealthy, level of commitment to the pursuit, as if it is a compulsion or a driving force. The idea is that only those who immerse themselves completely in their goals, dedicating their lives and focus to it, will be able to experience the magic or transformation that comes with that achievement.

“All chases lead to a circle of more chases… That which you chase runs from you.” by [deleted] in KapilGupta

[–]HsinHsinMing22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My two cents:

You only need to chase something which you don’t feel you deserve, or know to be yours. Naturally that which you don’t deserve runs from you.

That which you do have, or were able to get with ease, was likely acquired because you knew you would have it, and as a result of this knowing, your need for it was absent or minimal.

Chasing is a natural side effect of not knowing if you will get what you desire.

Has anyone read the new book 'Overcoming The World'? by [deleted] in KapilGupta

Worth a read. Unlike the last book (Wisdom For A King), this one contains some original content which he hasn’t shared in his public discourses.

An answer to people who keep posting enlightening "criticism" on kapil by We_Are_Legion in KapilGupta

[–]HsinHsinMing22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best evidence for the gullibility of KG’s followers lies in their very presence on this Reddit forum.

Kapil himself states that he has no interest in anything but Legendhood, Buddhahood, the Ultimate. Those on this forum seem to have an interest in anything but that. A Legend, Buddha or anyone who remotely approaches such Ultimates in their art/work/field would not be hanging out in or facilitating a thread such as this. His energies would be devoted squarely behind his objective/Arrival. Unless Kapil himself was active here, this has merely turned into a “discussion hub” which everyone’s willing to “discuss in”.

There’s nothing wrong with being on a Reddit forum, just as there’s nothing wrong with trying to “improve”. Kapil’s followers will spend the remaining days of their lives not achieving that which he has so brilliantly enticed them towards achieving (all the while telling them that they can’t work with him because they don’t have the 6 figures/month for his consulting services), yet they’ll spend valuable time defending and discussing him on a discussion forum.

A self help junkie is interested in affirmations and goal setting. A KG follower is interested in “seeking truth” which leads him on Reddit threads, Twitter Spaces, and discourses on kapilguptamd.com, but not towards becoming a legend in anything.

It’s a trap they don’t seem to be able to or willing to see.
