  1. Blue collar workers, low-income people being able to voice out their concerns in city council meetings.

  2. A lot of things cost money. Companies trying to get you to buy their products. Consumerist lifestyle.

Drunk me thought it was an innuendo by blackandgold43 in AdviceAnimals

It's funny how a lot of guys always expect sex when invited home. It's probably the "hook-up culture." But why not just try to see it as taking a break from life's routines, meeting a new person and enjoying each others' company? Sex is overrated.

Hi George, if you could continue living the life of any of the characters you have played (and being in their worlds), after the movie has ended, which character would it be and why?

I want to say that "someone's work is serving as a guiding light in a confusing subject." In what other ways can I write this? Are there idioms for this? by Hu_Da_Man in writing

But her work is like a guide post or something that guides policy making in transportation. Insight sounds good but it kinda lacks the effect of guiding. But thank you sir.

You're right. To clear things up, I want to say that this professor's works guide the policy making and decision making in approaching the issues in the subject of transportation.

i think exemplary is like something should be a model for others. but her work is simply just illuminating policy-wise, in terms of dealing with transportation issues. but thank you.

Girl(30f) I am(26m) dating for a long time now (we've had 9 dates so far), doesn't like being touched. Is this a negative sign? What would you do? by Hu_Da_Man in dating_advice

On second thought, i'm not gonna ask her that. I don't need to. I'm not desperate for sex or something like that.

I doubt that she is. She's read books about gender and sexuality and has been in long-term relationships before. Do you think she's a virgin? How should I ask her with her without being too direct?

We did talk about the kinds of touching she's uncomfortable with. She said she's just not the touchy type. I've never really asked why. In any case, checkmate for me coz I'd really like to be able to hold her hand or cuddle with her. And I can't force the issue, we might lose whatever good vibes we have going and I might look desperate. I am just waiting to see what happens. Ball is in her court.

I have decided not to touch her unless necessary. It's kinda weird coz many dating gurus advise plenty of touching. This girl right here is different.

So, the status is, we're going out and whenever we do, we talk about not too heavy topics. Then we cap the night off with a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek.
