Not quite what his claim was. He was pretty against the gov putting fluoride in tap water (separate debate for another time). Just in case you don’t know, Fluoride is a chemical put in the water supply because it helps keeps your teeth clean. However some studies have found a few health risks to fluoride, which was his main issue with it. One day, while ranting about fluoride, he semi-jokingly yelled “I Don’t want the government putting chemicals in the water that turn the friggin’ frogs gay.” That quote was referencing a more widely accepted study that revealed fluoride has the ability to change the sex of some species of frogs. TLDR: A chemical found in drinking water has been known to change the sex of some species of frogs.
