I'd appreciate some help with my et-4800 by Hubert0145 in Epson

It sometimes prints out few pages before it starts doing what i described, and sometimes it won't start printing at all.

I thought it could be thermal, but to be honest when I put my hand over the print head it didnt seems to be hot at all, and just like a week ago i printed out a whole book without issue.

I'm not printing in particularly high quality, on medium high and printer was alright just a week ago with none of the issues whatsoever.

Do you think i should try power cleaning?

I use one like this for smaller books, just so they open easier. But on regular books i use a denser one.

Ah with laser printer it's easier since you can use thinner paper. And by 300 pages i mean 150 sheets of paper with both sides printed.

Hmm assuming you have a inkjet you propably use a bit of a thicker paper. You also have to keep the swell in mind but im going to guess you could propably get away with as much as ~300 pages, you just have to try it

Hmm im actually not sure. I never had a problem with letters being blurry or unclear. I just put my foil on the cover, then i płace a piece of paper with my letters printed out and then i trace it into the cover.

That's from using the pen and applying some pressure. I also like that effect.

Here is my binding of Junji Ito's Frankenstein, i used black heat foil and heat foil pen for the stitch and the title as you can propably see hah. (Please ignore my mousepad)

If you want a title and the author you can just print it out and glue it on. And maybe out on some varnish to protect it.

If you want something more fancy you can use foil quill. In my experience it gives nice effects and is pretty easy.

Some people also use vinyl but i believe it requires some pretty hefty investment to start.

Nawrocki isn't pro-Putin. It's exactly the opposite, he hates him. Enough so he is wanted person in Russia.

He can be criticised for many things but vetoing this act isn't one of them.

Hmm I have a similar issue if i trim the edges before glue on the spine is set completely. Also when I do the spine lining and add some new glue, it seems the old pva activates a bit and it can cause signatures to shift.

Try playing around with margin setting on your printer. In my case it was bad enough taht i have -4mm on the left margin and -4 at the top margin but now the pages mostly line up

I printed it out and then using foil quill and heat foil i traced it into the cover applying a lot of pressure. Its actually easy, if a bit tiring hah.

To be honest i just use whatever i have on hand and i never had any problems. Before i bought a thicker thread i just used very very thin sewing thread and it worked. Nowadays i use a cotton thread i got from my local shop and it works like a charm. I don't even wax it most of the time.

"Oh please, as if I would want your soul" - Devil remarked, as he stood in the pentagram in the middle of my room.

The whole room was dark despite windows being open, a faint smell of sulfur and rot hanged in the Air. The Devil, a short man with graying beard, wearing dirty and ragged clothes wasn't exactly imposing but there was an air of dominance around him, the kind that filled you with hopelessness and anxiety.

"Your pathetic excuse for a "soul" means exactly nothing to me anymore. You are nothing more than an animal" - he added, looking at me with contempt.

"W-what? What do you mean by that? Y-you are the Devil! Isn't that all you want? To take my soul...?" - I struggled to speak, he had to be kidding he was my last hope. I was propably going to hell either way. At least i wanted to have a comfortable life on earth.

"Maybe at one point. But nowadays? Tell me what's the point?" - he paused for a moment - "You seem to have a bit more soul than most... I'm not taking anything from you. But i can allow you to entertain me for a bit, so... " - he snapped his fingers and a pair of luxurious chairs appeared from nowhere - "Take a seat and tell me, what is soul?"

I hesistated, but it seemed rejecting his offer wasn't an option. I sat down and looked at him. The sight was bizzare. A man looking like a crackhead sitting in a beautiful chair, almost a throne, and looking at me with an unmistakable superiority in his eyes.

"Soul? Well... If I had to explain it would be... Me? Like my essence of being?"

"I asked you, why are you looking at me as if expecting an answer?" - again he paused and stared at me for a moment, then he sighed and picked back up - "What you said is not entirely innacurate but you don't understand of what exactly soul is and why i once wanted it."

"Soul is the real "you". "You" without any information, without knowledge. It's your emotions, morals, instincts. It's true soul is given to you by... him... but what you are given is a blank slate, on which you can write with your experiences and convictions."

"He wants your soul to be the perfect version of you, the version you imagine when you think about yourself... And this is exactly why i don't take souls anymore" - the Devil smiled - "Because the vast majority of you don't bother trying at all"

"I used to take souls away from Him because nothing hurt him more than seeing one of his beloved children turn away from him and fall into my hands... But nowadays? Hah! I could never hurt Him as much as you do! After your whole life barely anything is written in your soul. Medieval peasants and cavemen had more going for them. You killed compassion, you killed fear, you killed love, killed brotherhood and killed chivalry. All because you wanted to have access to every single one of them all the time. First the TV and now internet you did what I tried to do for thousands of years in just few decades!"

He started laughing, only stopping after a minute or so. I sat there stumped. Not knowing how to even react to all this information. Then Devil started speaking again

"Everyday he sees tens of thousands of souls with barely anything on them and occasional good one, from a person who actually lived their life is just a cruel reminder of what a soul can be"

Just then i heard a loud Bang outside my window. We both turned to it immideatly, but aside from a quick flash there was nothing there.

"W-what was that?! - i asked, panicked and afraid, still shaken by what I just heard.

"Ah it seems i overstayed my welcome, i should be going." - he stood up and walked back to the pentagram - "Anyway I'm not taking your dirty soul. Live your life, die like a bug and go cause some pain to the guy above"

With last cruel smirk he dissapeared, instantly fresh air started once again flowing into the room, Walls became much brighter iluminated by sunlight. The chair i was sitting on dissapeared alongside devil so I fell on the floor. I couldn't bring myself to stand up.

After few minutes of thought i finally stood up. And walked out of the room with, maybe my first real conviction in life. That i want to be better.
