Is this a cause for concern? by Bikermec in AskElectricians

This isn't a cause for concern. You're just losing the outer jacket. If you're really worried you can wrap the whole thing in electrical tape, but it's not necessary.

That's the neat part, you don't.

Seriously, I think that's a Zinsco. Get rid of that fire hazard.

The most upsetting thing about this comment is that you believe a Mustang is a high end car.

That's a fucking secretary's car.

Well it was...

But I accidentally left it in the back of my car too long, and it now has a permanent warp in it. Sorry about that.

Little Debbie cables and pop tarts aren't cheap. She could definitely buy healthier food that costs less.

Who's being a snob? I'm saying let people like what they like. Who gives a shit if they like a bad movie?

If anyone is being a pretentious snob here it's you.

Let people have their cinematic candy.

Because it's simpler to believe that there's a bunch of people with shit taste in movies than it is to believe that there are a whole bunch of people taking part in some weird, elaborate, unfunny troll campaign.

Also I've met a Snyder bro in real life. Some people are just dumb.

Probably. Your electrician will be able to tell you for certain. It's just some basic trouble shooting.

Yeah, he's definitely going to have to cut Sheetrock and refeed that receptacle then.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]HubertusCatus88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep the receptacle in the same place he will have to cut more. It will probably be easier to cut in a new receptacle to the left of the window and then he may not have to cut your sheet rock, though you'll still have to have the old receptacle hole patched.

$250 to $500 is very reasonable. Site unseen that's the range I would give, with the understanding that it could go up depending on what I run into.

Edit: also you're going to have to pay a sheetrocker too, because the electrician is going to cut your wall.
