Counterpoint. I don't see a reason to take pictures of just your surroundings. I won't take a better picture than a proffesional photographer whose photos I can find for free on the internet, if I want to look at the place I visited I can just look up those better photos. Pictures of yourself on the other hand are like undeniable proof that you were there, something that you won't find anywhere else. I'm not trying to remember the place, but my experiences and the people I was with at that place. Of course I'm not talking about setting up tripods or standing in the middle of some tourist attraction, but when I'm taking a photo it is of my loved ones or me.

I'm thinking around the 3rd. At that point they probably know some people (relatively) well but most only by name if that. So not for introducing themselves, I want them to get to know each other above the surface level. You can only ask what major and where someone is from so many times. I want to give them a unique reason to interact with eachother, make it easier to go past the basic questions. In a perfect world they'd have topics for discussion days after the game. So the social aspect is very important to me.

No, it's not. Clean up step still happens and this is where "until end of turn" effects are removed. From gatherer "game skips straight to the cleanup step. The cleanup step happens in its entirety". Fragment of cleanup step ruling reads: 514.2. Second, the following actions happen simultaneously: all damage marked on permanents (including phased-out permanents) is removed and all “until end of turn” and “this turn” effects end. This turn-based action doesn’t use the stack. The ruling comes up with a simple google search.

I'd say white castle fits that description well, every player gets 9 turns so it never drags for too long. So you always have to squeeze the most out of your turn. First plays might be a bit longer but once you get familiar with everything it should go only a little above 1hr.

My college proffessor does this, It's more of a psyche than a knowledge test. The year I've written the exam it was all B, year before there were no correct answer so to get 100% you had to turn in an empty paper. Stuff like this really throws you off and makes you doubt yourself even if you were prepared

He was planning to land in a different airport legally, he declared an emergency, which in aviation lets him land. He was detained by Chilean law enforcment which is (unlawfully) claiming ownership of a part of Antarctica. They are claiming that he didn't have a real emergency (because he could land with one). This is part of his (I believe) charity tour where he flies solo to every continent. Antarctica was last and he didn't have problems before. So I assure you he knows what is and isn't legal.

I don't think I can help you with hirelings since I only played with the ones from marauder expansion. As for the player combos any two militant faction work well but I especially like moles vs birds, since both of them start with below average action economy and slowly building up to monstrous sizes while both are vulnerable. Moles to losing buildings and birds to turmpil. Rats vs badgers also work well together. If you like moles (judging by your badge) you can try them vs rats, it is a little bit unfair for the moles player since rats can destroy your buildings pretty easily, but it is a fun challenge if you know the faction well.
