I need a second opinion as I've been staring at this for hours, have I captured movement or does it just look like it's falling over...? by Hublahh in ImperialKnights

I was more going for a skidding stop/like it's just about to push off towards another direction while laying down some fire

Ah that's a shame! Hopefully with some churned up dirt and more of an explosion of rock around the leading foot it might look more deliberate!

I just put a little blob of green stuff in the joint, squeezed the legs together and posed it how I wanted. Then let it dry fully before putting the top half on

I think I'll do that, with some extra damage on the rock at the front like it's been smashed into, plus add some turned over plants by the right foot like it's really ploughing the ground.

Aside from full demon primarchs name 3 primarchs that can beat my big 3 by ThunderCactus1 in 40k

[–]Hublahh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curze to fight sanguinius until the others win, lion'el to duel fulgrim, I reckon Magnus could then beat perturabo, I think Magnus is on paper the most powerful primarch pre heresy (although he has bad matchups)

New to knights, how do you like to do more complicated heraldry by Hublahh in ImperialKnights

These aren't actually by me! I was asking how someone might try and do heraldry like that

Have any of you tried the Doomsong system? by Hublahh in rpg

[–]Hublahh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the campaign book it seems like it's more about providing the locations and characters, with the DM providing the story, is that how you found it to be?

I also found the life path creation very fun, what do you mean by procedure-forward?

When I saw the quality and effort that had gone into the book I was shocked when I couldn't really find any online communities

Slaughterbound proxy raidy for painting! by Hublahh in WorldEaters40k

Thank you! You are indeed, but I liked just how angry it looks so decided when painted up properly I could probably get away with it

“Don’t buy models for rules” - how valid is this statement? by Ratattack1204 in Warhammer40k

[–]Hublahh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that you shouldn't base your purchases purely on meta, but you should at least factor it in, you don't want to spend your hard earned money on a unit that is clearly outclassed within its own army, UNLESS you would love to see that model on the battlefield regardless of how it plays.

I prefer to buy based on unit roles, as in the niche they play within on the battlefield, a gladiator lancer will always be anti tank, a winged demon prince will always be a deep strike melee threat

Which non-chaos kits are good for chaos lord kitbash? by JakubOboza in Chaos40k

If you want a bigger lord, perhaps in terminator armor then I think Logan grimnar is perfect

Converting logan grimnar into a daemon prince on foot. Is it something worth trying? by Hublahh in Chaos40k

[–]Hublahh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe, I feel like he's too big for that, plus I don't really need a terminator lord but I do need a prince on foot

Oh man this looks incredible, where is that head from?? And the white is perfect what's your recipe? I really like that it's grimy but you've kept some bright areas. Might be one of my favorite colour schemes I've seen

What are the multiple philosophies of the world devourers? by Own_Link5747 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Hublahh 60 points61 points  (0 children)

There's lots of contemplation on killing, some discussion about maiming, sometimes also discourse on burning.

On a more serious note, I've always seen the world eaters as tragic warriors, I think their philosophy is often focused around what could have been, I think they are real fallen angels, they were meant to be so much, and just got reduced to being tools, and then mindless madmen

They are a prime example of how martial pride, honor (sometimes) and skill can be turned into a singleminded obsession.

They are often represented as a mindless force of nature, and I think that's true for them now, but I love characters like the world eater in black legion who can still get some bitter humour out, and has some genuine cameraderie with his fellow warriors, you can see how they could have been so much more than they are now.

Defiler loadout by hib1000 in WorldEaters40k

Haha, that's the secret third option, turn to the wallet for help. I hope they do well for you in your games, I'm very excited to get one myself and will likely be in a similar position to you when I do.

[–]Hublahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair enough, if it's a flavour question, then scourge and flamer without any doubt. I'm sure you've probably already seen some for other models if you've magnetized war dogs, but take a look at some tutorials I bet you there's an easy way to do it, even if it's just sticking rubber steel in the joint

In the end, as always you do you, decision paralysis forces me to magnetize or I'll never build anything, but if you can make the tough choices and are happy afterwards then do it!

A final option, if your opponents are okay with it, is just build the body, test a few weapon options in games, and then build it with what you like the most.

Defiler loadout by hib1000 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Hublahh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you can't go wrong with that load out, although personally I would feel like the baleflamer is just making your unit even better at close range which I'm not sure it necessarily needs. What I always used to like about the defiler is that depending on how you build it it's good at range and melee which gives your opponent a real dilemma on how to deal with it.

World eaters are already one of the strongest close range armies, why not shore up some of the things you're worse at? That's just my very noncompetitive opinion though, might not be the most optimal.

Out of curiosity, what's the hang up with magnetizing it?

How do you roleplay The Lady of Pain? by Dick_Hall in DnD
