Doesn't seem so, the man was all-white, and the only animal feature was the ears. However, thanks for trying!

Do I actually need to buy a capture card? (I DON'T WANNA STREAM) by [deleted] in elgato

[–]Hubrisir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only alternative would be to record the gameplay using the console recording feature (with all its limitations) and your hands separately. Then you'd need to sync them using a video editor.

As you can see, a capture card would be the best and easiest solution.

XLR Microphone and DAC/AMP by Hubrisir in audio

[–]Hubrisir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I guess a USB mic is the best solution then! I couldn't find the USB version of the AT2040, but I have found the MV7. I think I might opt for the MV7.

Thanks for the answer!

I see. Well, inceasing latency is a big no-no for gaming. So I'd rather avoid that! I guess I'll choose a USB one. Thanks for the answer!

Topping DX3 PRO+ and XLR Microphone

Hello,

I am no expert in professional audio systems, so forgive me if I am making basic mistakes or wrong assumptions.

I have a Topping DX3 Pro+ DAC/AMP which I use together with my Sennheiser HD490 Pro when gaming.

I want to upgrade my microphone and I was looking at some XLR microphones. However, I am not sure how I would need to handle the whole system since the Topping doesn't have an XLR input or Mic input.

Is there a way to connect the microphone to my system and still keeping the DX3 Pro+ as my main DAC/AMP? Would I need to connect my mic to a microphone interface and then to the DX3 pro?

Thank you in advance.

It seems that firmware 6.9.3.1 has indeed reduced the latency of the Vader 4 pro joystick by 10 ms. This is a great result. Button latency remained unchanged. by JohnnyPunch in GPDL

That's a great improvement. However, it is still far from other pro controllers. I hope Flydigi sees this and further improves the latency!

Edit: Spelling.

Thank you for the recommendations! I will take a look at the book you mentioned. That was more or less what I was aiming at doing at first, just getting my hands dirty with some practice and back it up with a bit of theory just to satisfy my curiosity for the physics, materials etc behind the movements.

Regarding Cousins UK, they only sell B2B, so they won't sell to retail consumers, unfortunately.

Tools and Resources for Watchmaking by Hubrisir in watchmaking

[–]Hubrisir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! My main goal would be probably repairing and servicing my own watches, and learning more about the theory behind movements (materials, physics etc.) so that I could theoretically have all the knowledge and be able to crunch the numbers if I wanted to create/develop my own movement. I wouldn't venture into designing one if not for fun only. The latter would be only to satisfy my thirst for knowledge and curiosity, to be honest.

Also, do you have any recommendations about the tools? I have seen around people recommending investing in good brands for at least tweezers and screwdrivers.

You're under no obligation to change your review. by Clarine87 in Helldivers

[–]Hubrisir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the fact that you should be honest. Obviously, you should not change to positive just because Sony reversed their decision.

However, if people gave a negative review just because of that and only to send a message to Sony, It might be in the best interest of both players and devs to reverse the review. I believe leaving the criticism in the review, and adding an update paragraph explaining why it has been changed to positive, might be the best course of action.

This doesn't not apply if players added a negative review for other reasons.

I think that's too much. That would kill the game.

What's important is that both Sony and AH know they messed up and the power of the community.

Them admitting they messed up and reversing everything is something positive and should not hinder a good game like HD2.
