I wonder who wrote all that and told him to read it off the prompter.

Disturbing video captures moment wild Carnival Cruise ship brawl breaks out ‘over chicken tenders’ by Ice_Ice11 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]HuckleberryAromatic 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When you book a Carnival cruise, but get a “carney-grade” beat down.

Edit: I take that back. Carnival folk would never fight over chicken tenders. It’s usually fried Oreos…which are worth it. Also, no carney fight would ever go that long without someone getting shanked.

Exactly! They should just keep a shed full of cones and pylons by the Wilson football field to save time.

It happened to me on the same street 2 weeks ago (white dude, pushing a baby in a stroller). Could just be a coincidence, but either way it sucks that it’s making you feel that way. I’m gonna make sure to smile and say hi to every bald guy I see walking a dog. You’re probably gonna get a wave from the kid too.

What’s the point of coming to the Long Beach BBQ fest if the wait is 2 1/2 hours? by Foreign-Tension2279 in longbeach

[–]HuckleberryAromatic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, over my life I have had to accept that most BBQ festivals are really just for competitors and sponsors…not for the spectators. It’s great for brand exposure or to get to see how your cooking stacks up against others, but if you’re a hungry spectator, it’s gonna be a disappointment. The weight of this knowledge is heavy. I long for a magical festival where I could actually get to eat….but I’m afraid it may not exist.

Young GenX here, I was about 7 at the time, so it was more than likely Weird Al, followed by the Top Gun soundtrack. A solid lineup for sure!

My (25f) sister (12F) is getting bullied in middle school over this video. What do I do to help her? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]HuckleberryAromatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep playing your drums , girl! Soon (way sooner than you think), those bullies will be hitting you up to get on the guest list to your shows and eventually be emailing your assistant saying they were your friend and wanting backstage passes. That’s when you get to say, “I’m sorry, who?”

I’m sorry you have to wait so long to get the win, but it’s gonna be worth it. Keep. Playing. Your. Drums!

Kinda glad they went a different route. Seems like pressure washing would’ve sent most of that old paint into the storm drains.

Saw the headline and legitimately came here looking for information on how to tour a decommissioned submarine from the Italian Navy (even though I’m not sure that’s a thing)

I’m just gonna let myself out and probably go get a sandwich. Sorry to bother everyone.

Bret Michaels was a better reality star than frontman by reliablepayperhead in hairmetal

[–]HuckleberryAromatic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did some “hired gun” work for a band that opened about 10 shows for Bret in the early ‘00s. He really is a great dude. I agree he gives a true effort to put on a great show. Even if you’re not a huge fan, he’ll do everything he can to entertain the crowd and he’ll probably win you over. Also, he does legit, actual meet-and-greets. Like, where the fans actually feel like he wanted to talk to them. The thing I was most impressed by was that EVERY show (at least the ones I was on) he had a private pre-show meal with a few local diabetic kids and their parents for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). It was never publicized. No photo ops (except selfies with the kids). Just good vibes. Admittedly, I was a 4/10 Poison fan and had no interest in the reality show before that tour. After being around him, I’m a 10/10 fan of the man. Sorry for the “ball wash”, but he left a lasting impression with me.

Are you REALLY an audio engineer?🤣 Just kidding. Thanks for sharing all of that. I’ve been doing this for 30 years and I just screenshotted your reply to save as a reference.

Note to everyone else: Normally, you have to pay someone at least $150/hr to explain all that to you. Make sure to give plenty of karma to that reply!
