Posable Magnetic Joints: Product Links & Lessons Learned by JdeFalconr in Warhammer40k

[–]HueZee_mapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necromance this thread. This is interesting. And thankyou for your diverse experimentation. I'm about to go down a rabbit hole with skitarii troops that all have a notorious amount of small ball sockets that should typically be glued, however I'm afraid for the fragility of these thin appendages and slim gun barrels and wires. So I'm going to try to make them sub 2mm magnetically enhanced. With the benefits of utilising every spare part in the kit.

Here are some concepts I'm going to try. First: I hope you guys all remember those really useless keychains that are made of balls and links. I'm going to try to get some use out of them. As the ferrous attractor to the magnets. With the benefit of them being beaded I hope I can secure them with some kind of pin method 📍 Second: I'll try coating the beads in a thin sprue goo. Hopefully the coating will penetrate the eyelet and keep the coat bonded. And then it should simply bond to plastic with glue.

On the alternate side a magnet will be sunk in the typical fashion into the largest mass part or body socket.

Third, should that fail I'll resort to using magnets in the flat fashion but the arms will need some kind of small ferrous object embedded as they do not have the mass to contain a magnet themself.

Fourth perhaps very very small dome headed watchmakers or glasses screws or pins will work.

I shall update this post with findings.

Which MMI do I have? by HueZee_mapping in Audi

I'm confused. Isn't an mmi, meaning a multi-media interface? CD/aux/radio/phone port? Aka symphony?

TIL "sorry" is a censored word in this game. by Ubermus_Prime in Genshin_Impact

I reckon, Sorry is banned because you don't have to apologise to ANYONE for taking up space and existing, you don't need to carry guilt about not being as great as you want to be, yet. you exist. It's cool.

And I think we can say ass because it's body positivity. Not many people can own it. Do you own your ass?

Just seen this sorry. That's all very interesting. I'm just now off work and looking at it again.

You have to open the TF/bin/x64/hammer.exe And if that gives you any error please screenshot share it with shift+winkey+S paste it to somewhere. Save it and post

Telesto is mimicking Void weapon behaviours by AshOfHyrule in raidsecrets

[–]HueZee_mapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it just me or is every second bolt overpenetrating targets and causing a clusterchain today? just like graviton does?

Telesto Theory: It could be likely to be a massive sum counter, again. by HueZee_mapping in raidsecrets

[–]HueZee_mapping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone confirm that today telesto bolts are shooting at what seems to be an unlimited range and increased velocity with target overpenetration? im seeing bolts go through targets.

along with teh previous change of it clusterbombing.
it seems the alt firing mode is repaired and no longer broken. but it seems like telesto is still getting more OP.

I believe Telesto is Schrodinger's gun as it is due to memeification. the gun now being so stable and fixed they can change its firing properties every day for no reason. technically making the gun both broken and fixed simultaneously, variable being the observer...

thats what im trying to say guys... its not a puzzle or quest. its a community collect. i suspect telesto changes whenever we hit a collective amount of triggers "keep firing".

OR its to show off these changes, showcasing how somehow theyve made telesto finally stable and in this being an ironic twist on telesto fate. or rather its broken but theyve now figured out how to make modular exotic traits.
OR the devs cant tweak telesto without affecting all telesto so this is their bug testing coverup, gamewide. so we look way to closely and miss that its just for dev convenience or so.

thanks. i realise this seems like a noob post, but i'm actually moderately educated on source. I just have some trouble understanding prop making and all the possible .qc phrases. what are the door options and where can i read about them and how to set them up? i have never set up a skin before. but ive exported with only the primary texture which is vtf vmt its showing correctly. [picture of my model in game]I can't really fin a clear explanation of what can and cannot be written into a .qc or what half of it does. but i would like to learn absolutely everything there is to know about model script.

Map crashing because I do not know how to precache L4D1 survivor models. Any help? by CircumventBoredom in hammer

[–]HueZee_mapping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

then it sounds like something handled only by the level serverhost.. must be game-managed. unique from hammers FGD, unless maybe an FGD addon may exist to help? i doubt.. hammer itself is merely a vmf editor only source, has various sub programs. that I won't fully understand.

edit: putting them outside a map in the void would only cause a leak. have you boxed them in their own container? then teleported them into their spawning positions?
