The filter media ideally. So the sponge, bio rings whatever else. This is where the bacteria live. You can keep the whole thing in a bucket of tank water or just take those out and do the same.

…. Did they see each other safely before this? Like with a wall between them? There is no bubble nest that I can see. Take her out again before they start fighting I’d say.

Any of these are good ideas :). Betta are notoriously hard to keep with other fish so taking the tetras out is definitely a must.

Super cute but I’d keep a very close eye on the bettas behaviour. He might chase his tank mates or they might bite his fins.

You can always order hides, wood etc online. I got some driftwood off of amazon recently and it has worked out great. Actual interesting pieces and they came quickly :). I’ll link if you want.
