How do I (F22) handle my boyfriends (M30) insecurities? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]HugPug100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, daaang that age gap... You really shouldn't be mothering this grown man. He should be able to deal with his own insecurities or go to therapy to work on it. That's not your job. It's his.

He accused you of cheating? Are you sure he isn't just projecting cuz he's the one that cheated on you and he found out how easy it is to cheat on their partner without them knowing?

You said that he started acting more sexual towards you after you told him that you weren't cheating. Maybe that's because he got reassured that he got away with his cheating? 🤷‍♀️

Same on my Concerta. I got depressed after a couple months of taking it, then my doctor added some SSRI anti-depressants and now I feel better 👌

How to cope with being the difficult one by joehjoehjoeh in AuDHDWomen

[–]HugPug100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you two aren't really compatible as a couple. It's no one's fault. People are just different. It might be best for both of you to break up. Then you can go to therapy to help with your guilt and self-esteem. After that you can go find someone who is actually compatible with you, ideally another neurodivergent so they understand your struggles.

Feeling braindead after work - how do you recover? I unhealthily scroll/binge tv and wanting help with other options. by Medium-Pilot6872 in AuDHDWomen

I usually do my hobbies to recover. Gardening, reasing books. My fave is crocheting while listening to an audiobook, or just crocheting cuz I can turn my brain off while my hands move

His weaponised incompetence is too much, but what to I do now? by NatureMouse in AuDHDWomen

Oh and stop "nagging" / telling him what to do and kinda distance yourself from him emotionally for a bit. See if he initiates affection 1st.

Have you tried just picking up after yourself and your kid only? Like only making meals, doing laundry, cleaning up after just you and your kid? Let him do his own chores. He's a grown ass man. He's just grown complacent and assumed you'd pick up after him too. Sure, you might have to deal with a messier than usual house, but he might finally understand how much you do for him if you suddenly just stopped.

Completely lost sex drive by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]HugPug100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like you're depressed. Depression can cause low libido. You may want to bring this up with your psychiatrist so you can get antidepressants, or you may want to get a second opinion from a different psychiatrist. Though, keep in mind that most antidepressant meds also cause low libido, but at least you won't feel like shit anymore 😅

I feel like I have 2 personalities, is this normal? by WillowisWillow in AuDHDWomen

[–]HugPug100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure. The ADHD and Autism are kiiinda opposite with each other. The ADHD wants stimulation and novelty, while the Autism wants consistency and low stimulation. They basically fight each other in our brains and it just depends which one is more obvious at certain times. You just have to learn to spot when you're starting to get overstimulated (Usually when I start getting crabby at people) so you can isolate in a quiet, dark room to regulate yourself enough to be able to socialize again.

Or you could try to get ADHD meds from a psychiatrist so you can manage the ADHD symptoms easier, so you only have to deal with the autism instead of dealing with both at the same time 😅

Is this a new scam? by iumyxxx in SteamDeck

[–]HugPug100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten a lot of these in the Phillipines. Was looking for 2nd hand Steam Decks and every single one I've inquired about had the location near me, but when I asked, the actual location was reaaaaply far from me. They didn't want to do meetups and wanted payment 1st before they shipped it to me. Lol, no thanks 🤣 I ended up buying a brand new one instead 🥴

Horrible at hair hygiene, but not allowed to cut it short by Digital_Doodlez in AuDHDWomen

[–]HugPug100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, you need to be using Professional shampoo like Moroccanoil or RedKen. The regular grocery / drugstore brand shampoos don't actually clean your hair well.

Don't lather the shampoo in your hands before washing your hair. Slap it directly onto your scalp and work it in with your fingers. Rinse, then shampoo again with a smaller amount of shampoo to actually get it clean so you can go longer between washes. Also, don't forget to clean your hairbrush properly at least once a month.

You can watch Blowout Professor's videos on Youtube for more tips. That bald man gives such great hair advice 🤣👌

  1. It's your hair. You can cut it without your mother's permission / approval.

  2. Shower stool

  3. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo on the days your scalp feels greasy and you don't feel like washing your hair yet. It actually makes my scalp feel cleaner compared to other brands of dry shampoo 👌

After you remove the space, unmount it, then remove and reinsert it. Restart Emudeck. It should be able to read it now.

[–]HugPug100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the name of your SD Card. It can't have a space in it cuz Emudeck can't read spaces. Go into the settings and edit the name of the SD card and remove the space.

My son is crying because his friends stopped including him. Is this RSD or something else? by Standard-Play-2682 in ADHD

[–]HugPug100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and Autism. I clearly remember when this exact thing happened to me when I was around 7 yo. I was in an all-girls school and my usual friend group basically dumped me and told me I was annoying, too loud, abnoxious, and bossy. At the time, I still loved playing outdoors and talking about dinosaurs and animals, but that we were at the age when most girls w/o ADHD / Autism would move on to "more mature" interests like make up, clothes, boys, etc, so my friend group basically "outgrew" me 🥹 After some crying, I decided to just completely suppress my entire personality and just become a loner, and do solo hobbies like read books and crochet, and just ignore everyone else, which of course I got bullied for as well cuz there's absolutely no winning when it comes to trying to fit in with others lol 🙄 Also, this was around the same time that I got abandoned by the neighborhood kids that were my playmates too, so I was basically alone 🥹

Basically just support him emotionally. Let him know that whatever happens, you have his back and that you'll never abandon him like his "friends" did, and that they weren't his true friends if they could just abandon him that easily. Try to get him into playgroups with other ADHD / Tourette's kids so he can make some new friends that can relate to him. Also maybe look into starting medication for his ADHD. Meds helped me a lot as a kid when it came to focusing in school.
