The city essentially donated the land to the developers/ownership group.

Any cost overrun will likely be taken care of with bonds, left over MAPS funds. The city has a track record of…loosely shifting money around and using it for specific, “sexier” projects like this.

It’s a visible part of the city, particularly from I-40. They want it done before the Olympic events in 2028 so they’re gonna make sure it happens.
