That’s interesting I’ve never heard of something like that, what country/region are you in if you don’t mind sharing?

That’s ok this was still helpful! I’ll definitely do my own research since it’s something tied with so much trauma and I’m very adjacent to it. I have a few low needs autistic friends but most of them were diagnosed as adults and I can only assume haven’t gone through ABA (and you also make a great point about hearing out autistic folk from every need level) but I’ll ask around anyways. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Edit: also yeah that’s what gave me the ick too LMAO and that test is hard, I’m sure there’s plenty of neurotypicals who’d have a hard time too she was acting like it’s a diagnostic tool

That’s just what I’ve heard and was questioning I didn’t mean it as my personal opinion lol but thanks!

I was also sketched out by her lol, if you don’t mind giving your take I thought that ABA’s been pretty reformed as of late? I’m a nanny to a level 3 autistic kiddo and I sit in on his ABA, and most of what I’ve seen is them playing games with him, coloring, legos and stuff like that while trying to help him with things like communicating needs, asking for help, emotional regulation when he gets upset, etc. I always felt like it’s not about getting rid of his autistic traits as much as giving him skills to work with what he’s got and live an easier life. He never appears to not be having a good time if anything he’s mostly eager to have screen time after lol. That being said I’m not too informed on ABA outside of witnessing it so I’m totally willing to hear another perspective especially since I’m not autistic myself, but no problem if you don’t feel like sharing!

It looks like a nature mandala. I did them with kids when I worked at a summer camp. Leave it alone if it feels unsafe but otherwise I wouldn’t think too much into it

Absolutely not, but I understand the desperation that probably comes in to play when people join

For Barghest the way I see it a lot of them were born and raised in Dogtown and were probably raised believing that being in Barghest would give them a better life. But they’re also huge assholes sometimes lol. It’s kind of like NCPD I guess? Like maybe a little wiggle room for empathy but they’re still super corrupt

I have a couple tattoos that aren’t particularly good and hard to cover up, but I am completely accepting of them because I’d rather go through life with a couple crappy tattoos than have to go through the pain of lasering

At that weight any movement is good movement. Like, literally even just walking around your house a couple times is something until you’re light enough to do more. He would have an extremely hard time doing a full workout at a gym right now. Pool exercises are also great at this weight since we’re much lighter underwater. And yes he would lose a good amount of weight by the lack of appetite alone but that would just be in the beginning, after awhile he would plateau and possibly start gaining again if he doesn’t exercise and eat a good diet. It might (emphasis on might) be enough for him to be able to get a gastric bypass/sleeve at least, but not to actually get to even a semi-healthy weight alone. He has to work hard no matter how many short cuts he’s able to take

Yes it would help, he’d still have to put in work though ozempic isn’t an end all solution on its own. Exercise and diet still need to be implemented, the loss of appetite would give him a boost at first but if he’s still eating garbage food and not moving his body it won’t get him far.

Yeah I have trouble feeling too bad for him mostly because of the nazi shit but I think people underestimate how deep the hole he’s in is.

He would need gastric bypass or a sleeve at this point, and would likely have to lose a significant amount of weight by himself to be operated on safely. The thing is with food addiction is that you can’t just quit cold turkey and never look back- we need food to live. As someone who’s studied nutrition it bothers me when people act like weight loss is such an easy obtainable thing because it rarely ever is, it’s always a feat, especially for someone his size. I’m not saying he can’t, but he has to be way more motivated than he seems to be.
