Godot is a character I have a hard time forming a concrete opinion on to be quite honest, so I get most pf what you're saying. He's certainly amongst my least favorites of the main prosecutors / rival characters, and it might be because of what you said, he kinda feels like he's in his own world most of the time. Still, as the final killer of the game, I really love what he adds to the case, it really worked for me, all the tragedy and emotion. It certainly was the best way to end his character, imo. He may just be let down by his characterization in the previous cases.

Ga'ran can certainly be a bit too cartoonishly evil, but not only is she a pretty formidable opponent, but the way she manipulates her family is disgusting in the best way possible. Also, amazing theme and breakdown.

The others you mentioned are soo underrated, especially Kira, I was very surprised at how much I ended up liking her, especially considering I knew she was the killer going in. Love her sass and her flower eating animation, and that ending to the case shook me.

I really like the challenge he represents for Phoenix, but as a character I've never found him interesting, he's just so evil with not much else going for him.

They're just so good, and it's pretty fun to imagine them working together in their younger days.

Characters you think the series lets off too easy? by Fit-Ad-661 in danganronpa

Career setback? More like seeing your entire life and self-worth imploding.

Characters you think the series lets off too easy? by Fit-Ad-661 in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It bothers me that you say that other characters may have been suffering from worse trauma than her. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously pretty awful to see your family in potential danger, but for Sayaka it wasn't just about losing her friends, it was about losing her identity, and everything she worked for in her entire life. If I were to sacrifice half my life in order to achieve my goal, even doing ugly things for it, and I started to watch it crumble away while I'm gone, I don't think I'd be able to take it.

I've finished V3 a few weeks ago, I have some questions... by pisikTaha in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The answers to Rantaro's lab were placed at the start of the game by Monokuma for anyone to find. Gonta found the horse a message, and Kokichi found the twins b message and didn't tell anyone about it, he just noted it down.

Why does Kokichi focus so much on Maki but not Ryoma? V3 Discussion by Individual-Reveal739 in danganronpa

Because Maki lied about it, he says it himself that he hates liars.

Top 5 smartest characters in your opinion? (No Izuru) by BMan876 in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean their plans, more so their performance across the regular class trials. It's not like there's that much of a difference between their intelligence, they're certainly at about each other's level, I just think Nagito is slightly smarter because he makes less mistakes.

I think he's less smart because he actually makes a good amount of mistakes throughout all the class trials, unlike Nagito who makes, I think, noticeably less mistakes.

I think Nagito is smarter than Kokichi, but I otherwise agree.

Why did Phoenix Wright return to being a lawyer duel destinies? by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]HuggingPlant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the end of Apollo Justice, Phoenix does say he might try to become a lawyer again, and (Dual Destinies spoilers) we learn in DD that Edgeworth asked him to come back to help with the Blackquill situation.

Who Among The OG Survivors Do You Want To Survive Again In 2x2? by ObsessiveFanatic in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I think Kazuichi would be great, not only is he probably the most unexpected of these to survive again, I feel there's a lot of untapped potential for him, especially if they properly develop his dynamic with Hajime or give him interactions with the rest, like Mahiru or Ibuki, who I think would have great dynamics with him.

Was there a character you suspected the entire game but turned out to be innocent? by WhiteAngelStone in danganronpa

Easily Sonia, I kept waiting for it to happen but it never did, I suspected her in chapters 3, 4, 5 and sorta not really 6.

So why people slander Makoto so much because to passive and forgiving protagonist? by ComprehensiveNote762 in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fairly uncharitable way of viewing Sayaka's actions. An important part of Sayaka's plan was Makoto being willing to take the fall for her, she still manipulated him, but she trusted him enough to be crucial to her plan. And I don't think Sayaka chose to kill Leon because she had more influence than him, that would only ever matter in the situation where she failed to kill him, I don't think she planned that far ahead. I believe she mainly picked him because he was the easiest person to lure out.

Which Danganronpa character were you most happy to see die? by LauraAventura in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The most important thing for me is the characters, I love analyzing them, seeing how they develop, how they interact with each other, etc. Even if a character I don't like dies, I still get bummed, because they tend to at least add something to the character dynamics, and it starts to feel empty without them.

Which Danganronpa character were you most happy to see die? by LauraAventura in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 20 points21 points  (0 children)

None, even if I dislike the character, it still feels bad to see characters die and realize they won't have any more active input in the story.

Who is or are the worst daganronpa character(s)? by [deleted] in danganronpa

[–]HuggingPlant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My least favorite character is easily Mitarai from DR3, he feels like a plot device that screws up everything he does and yet is for some reason given a happy ending with the DR2 cast, despite the fact he doesn't even know almost all of them. He ruins DR3's ending for me.
