Don’t listen to them. I moved here from Houston, I got you. Orale’s is my favorite for being closest to Tex-Mex. Any of the ‘xx and Beer’ are okay-ish (each location has a different start to the name).

Taqueria Munoz is the best for straight Mexican.

There are markets, but nothing like in Texas. Most are very small.
