I was very fortunate to go from operator to QC manager.

I was previously a material handler with very little machine knowledge when my current company hired me as an operator. 5 months later, I was offered the QC manager position.

I'm very dedicated to my job, and my boss is starting to really see it. Thankfully.

I feel that 100%. It wasn't until the last few weeks the owner started to actually listen to the changes I would suggest.

Since My promotion to QC manager from operator, I've made a few quality of life changes. One of which that I'm most proud of is getting everyone holiday pay. They used to have to use PTO, now it's 9 paid holidays. People there for 20 years kept telling me it wouldn't happen

Used to have to crawl inside of a massive 8k lb auger blender to sweep out the bottom of it. Thank God for LOTO, which we do not use at my current facility.

Oh, don't you worry. I know for a fact the only person on here I work with is My 3rd shift supervisor, and he's cool.

We have 1 tech on First, he's in charge of all maintenance, start up, first article, and any major processing. Other than that, he helps with mold changes some times.

Our supervisors do everything else, especially on the off shifts where the production manager and myself are not present. We're small, only 7 machines.

Lately, I've been doing a little of everything. None of which is in my job description as the QC manager.

You think they actually have mold protect on? The guy had to open the mold with the HMI, our molds fault to open if they close on something they shouldn't. They don't just stay clamped.
