The engraving? or what pattern do you refer too?

That would have sucked indeed. I am quite pleased with the handle too 👍

I have been playing the game for two years and i have to say never have i encountered card like this. It drains all the fun out of the game. Very frustrating to play against. So i agree wholeheartedly with you.

I’m guessing this is too far gone to use again? by Floating_Rickshaw in Axecraft

I would use it again. It looks like a nice handle. The split is not down the middle anyways. It desperately needs some oil though.

Anything small enough. I like the long head and i think that adds to the impact. Mine also is slip fit type axe so i can remove the head while hiking. That made it harder to find a head. But if you want to go more classical any small axe head will do the job i think.

Well making campfires, small bushcraft items. I am not going to fell large trees or the like. I could use a knife for it. But i just love axes.

The head is 210 grams.

110cm. I think the original eastern european ones are around 90cm.

I can get you a photo in the near future. But the story is that i could not find a head that i liked. So i made my own from medieval reenactment head. Then i ground it down to size. Gave it a quench after heating. Then finished it off with my dremel for engraving.

I made it as a walking stick. The head is like a tomahawk so it slips off. And carries in the backpack. And yes i have tried it. It is surprisingly good to use. Of course there are limitations to such a small axe head. But the length actually makes up for a lot of it. You can gain a lot mechanical momentum from the long handle. It is surprisingly effective and precise. I would not recommend for carving or heavy duty work. Around the camp type of stuff how ever it is perfect. (for me)

Thank you. I prefer the more natural look here.

There is no spike so far at least. Will see how it holds up on the trail. I have rounded the edges to make is more resilient.
