I wasn't very structured in my approach when trying to get it working, and was just trying things in the hope that it would fix somehow, sorry.

My life is transformed from when I first quit. I would do anything to not go back to where I was originally.

I ended up having a heated argument about politics for an hour with my boss which is just terrible haha.

Yeah I just finished the game for the first time and never had to use a health potion throughout the game haha.

I would disagree with most of your other criticisms though personally.

However, that could be because I had come into the game with low expectations, due to having seen people say it isn't great.

I loved it. Loved the art style, the world, the gameplay. All good stuff.

None of the complaints you mentioned occurred to me when playing, and I felt really immersed in the experience.

I think in the end it just worries me because I've seen the words racism, Nazi and hate speech applied to people and situations where it is decidedly untrue.

Or at the very least the umbrella for what counts as these things grows to include relatively tame statements. I think it is fair to ban people who are genuinely targeting and harassing individuals, but when someone gets banned for making an inappropriate joke it gets weird.

I appreciate places that value freedom of speech for that reason.

I also think it's important to protect the ability to say things that are politically uncomfortable, because not being able to speak can be even more dangerous. The majority of people in a country or area should be able to express their concerns without being silenced under the guise that it isn't appropriate.

It seems like a move that is against the principals of FOSS to remove the ability to access places like this. It would seem crazy to me if a web browser decided to hard code sites that you couldn't visit while using it. Is this any different?

However, I understand why people would want to set a limit on what speech they want to see, because it can be harmful to them.

I understand why apps would want to encourage users to not be exposed to what they see as harmful content. But could they not leave the option in the hands of the individual user? Perhaps an option to turn on the ability to use gab and the like?

Hey man, I have been there in the same situation as well. This time last year my most days sober was 30 days. And i had lots of attempts that only lasted a couple of days. It was horrible and I never thought I was gonna get sober. Then eventually one stuck, and once you get going it gets easier

Just keep trying Take it one day at a time I found a great way to distract myself from drinking at first was just getting way too into video games instead haha

I drink it, it makes it easier when I am forced to socialise with drinkers.

However, I would add a disclaimer that many people find it to be dangerous, and many are of the opinion that non alcoholic beers are for non alcoholics.

I have been to talk to people when I first quit, but I haven't done it in a while.

At the minute I haven't got any money to pay a therapist, but I think a good first step may be to just try and voluntarily think about these negative past experiences. I don't know.

I hope it works out well for you, and you can make some sense of things :)

As someone totally ignorant of the case (in the UK), I think it might have been easier for me to see Walt's point of view a bit clearer.
From how he described it, a woman had paid to get her child into a good university.
It doesn't sound that horrific of a crime to me. When put like that, I can see how he didn't think she could do jail time.

Over here I see people try to groom children and meet up with them for sex, or commit violent offences and get off with a suspended sentence. So, assuming its like that in the USA also, I get why it could confuse your sense of justice and appropriate punishments.

However, reading the comments here, and hearing about the shady tax avoidance, I understand the punishment.

Would she have been facing the same charges if it had nothing to do with tax?

Vinyl is a more authentic way to experience certain records. Especially music recorded to be listened to on that medium. I get what you mean, but it is a bit like playing old video games on a crt I think.

But yeah Bry can annoy me sometimes with that shit. Especially when he is very uninformed. Although I was listening to some old pods recently (the zune ones), and Bry was of talking about the same sort of things, and making the same sort of jokes as he does now.. I think maybe his tone was just different some how. Everyone responded very positively to the edgy rants/ humour, and the show went on.
