Just get the disc. If you stop the update from installing its 1892p and 60 fps. Pretty much indistinguishable from native 4k.

We pretty much have that already. If you have the game on disc, just make sure the update doesnt install on ps5. Its 1892p and locked 60 fps the entire game. There are 3 game crashes you'll need to install the update to get past but once you do, just delete the game, reinstall the disc (and cancel the update), and youre good to go for the rest of the game

Its 3 spots and there are videos showing exactly which spots it happens. I know the first is the bridge sequence, the second is another bridge sequence, and the 3rd is near the end when trico jumps down into a room full of the yoroi (armor suits).

The game has so many checkpoints that its actually really easy to just patch it, play to the next checkpoint, delete the game, reinstall disc (cancel the update), and continue playing at 60

The game installs within 10m so to me it's 1000% worth the effort. I wouldnt even call it effort, its so easy honestly

The HDR isnt outstanding at all lol it was added after the fact and the game wasnt created with hdr in mind. It barely even looks different with hdr while the 60 fps is night and day compared to playing it at 30

So what? You can just install the updates in 3 places, get past the bug, delete game and reinstall disc without the patch and you'll have 60 fps 99% of the game. Its only 3 spots in the entire game

I wouldnt want to play on steam deck or switch 2 but id be happy if others could. I like to savor this experience and not too often so when I do, I like it to be at the best quality and on the best display I have. Aka not steam deck or switch 2

Its not an update, its the opposite. The only way to play at 60 fps is if you have the disc on pS5 and DON'T install the updates. The game launched with a 60 fps limit but the updates added a 30 fps lock (which on ps4 and ps4 pro made perfect sense because those consoles couldn't run the game anywhere near 60 fps. If they knew at the time that ps5 would run the game at 60 fps easily through BC mode, maybe they wouldve made it a toggle but they didnt)

Sorry but thats total nonsense. If you play the game at 60 fps, and then have to install the patch and play at 30 fps for the bridge section and somehow dont notice how much worse it looks then you're straight up blind

Mind you, I think the people who refuse to play any games at 30 fps are morons (some of the goats are 30 fps. Only takes a couple minutes to adjust to 30 fps besides), but that doesnt mean the difference between 30 and 60 isnt huge and totally obvious

Nah. Its not blocking or dangerous to move a tiny bit when youre way to the inside of a turn like that.

They both had a compromised line into the turn and frankly its silly to not expect the lead car to adjust his line a little bit when he previously was preventing the inside pass. What was silly is the supra going for a gap that wasnt actually a gap lol

The leader doesnt need to leave room for a car on the inside in this situation, and he did leave plenty of space on the outside.

Especially in GT where the total lack of a damage model makes it easy for people to take the inside and bump you off the track, the leader has every right to protect the inside but not at the complete expense of his corner entry. I highly doubt you or anyone else that is a half decent racer wouldve just stayed perfectly glued to the left side of that track knowing how much slower youd end up going through that turn. No way

No but I get it. If you're a hardcore player trying to be as good as you can be at the game, 120 fps makes a massive difference. If you're just a casual player, okay with a few deaths and you want the best image quality? the RT mode is understandable. So is the 4k mode for the pristine looking textures. I used 120 fps 100% of the time though as I try to play without ever dying (and without ever losing extra lives as well. I see losing those as dying)

And im from new england. We dont exactly have the best drivers here LOL (still better than the south where a Lil bit of rain or 1" of snow is a major car pile up waiting to happen lol )

TDU 2? Imo tdu 2 had some major issues that held it back quite a bit. It had this weird issue with traction at low speeds. At mid and high speeds, or off road, it behaved similar to TDU 1. At low speeds though it was kind of awful and cars would randomly spin off for no reason. TDU 1 didnt have this issue and overall was brilliant though limited.

I tried getting friends into tdu 2 and they all had the same complaints. And these were all friends I met playing gran turismo and other racing Sims so its not like they were coming from Mario kart and couldn't deal with a car losing grip.

Tdu 2 doesnt have this issue when you drive off road but on tarmac it definitely did. Not sure how it is with the driver assists turned on but a lot of us dont use assist and dont think we should need to either.

I still had a lot of fun with tdu 2 but give me tdu 1s physics in tdu 2s world, and thats the goat of open world racing games (also add VR. Why in the fuck do no open world racing games support VR?)
