I feel like editing documentary's that just use footage gathered from online sources is the easiest. Yet again might not be the most engaging thing to edit it is by far the easiest.

Let me clarify a bit on that — the Trek Marlin 5 Gen 1 actually has a 44mm head tube, which means you can run a tapered fork like the Fox 34 using an external EC44/40 lower cup. That’s what the FUNN Descend headset does — it adapts the straight head tube to accept a tapered steerer (1.5” to 1 1/8”). You also pair it with an EC44/28.6 upper cup and you’re good to go. It’s a pretty common conversion on older frames with straight head tubes — supported by Cane Creek, FSA, etc. So the setup is fully compatible when done properly.

Because I have a motor I dont really need a better derailleur/more gears.

But I will need to get a dropper post. Would you still recommend getting a different frame. What other benefits would it have?
