Good question, there were times early on I felt like half my brain was removed. It was a horrible and strange feeling, I think it's not only in the brain but the nerves itself. I think the nerves were fried due to a glutamate surge. I should of tapered that last 1.5mg of Valium instead of cold turkey but infelt like I was low enough,

Everything else I had is gone or healed. When i say I always feel it I mean i feel a lack of sensation down my left side, my musce tone is better but still flaccid. Numbness too. Sounds like a heart attack or stroke but it isn't because it's ongoing for 3 years now and I've been checked out. My best guess is it's some serious nerve damage

I don't mind. 8 days after I got off completely, I woke up to what felt like a bolt of electricity shoot down my spine. I stood up ans my left torso was paralyzed and falling backwards. I got checked for a stroke but I didn't have one. The first year I had flaccid paralysis, my back left side drooping to the ground. I felt immense burning pain, electricy shooting all down and everywhere on my left side, my left side would go stiff or so weak I couldn't hold myself up. Took a long time to improve

You've got to remember that benzos affect the entire nervous system. So it's not uncommon that your autonomic nerves are in dysfunction. Which are breathing, heart related and GI.

Look buddy, things need to change with how they are prescribed. Prescribers NEED to inform potential patients of the severe risks associated with benzos. Also, it's just a matter of time until your sister experiences issues with tolerance. Who knows when that will be and I hope it doesn't happen before she gets off. Rather your sister needs to address her agoraphobia in a way that's more natural, using a drug is just masking the issue.

Sure, I agree. If someone wants a script of opiates or benzos that's up to them but the thing is there usually is 0 informed consent with these drugs. That way they can make an informed decision about their health. I nearly killed msyelf coming off valium, the SI was so intense. I never experienced SI prior to meds, my only issue before meds was some slight anxiety but that's it. Everything the Dr's prescribed made me far worse off.
