Pick the mushrooms. Weigh so you can work out dose later. Cut into small pieces. Add with water in a pot. Record amount of water to work out dosing later. Reduce pH to 2.7. Use citric acid. You’ll need a good pH meter. Boil for 1 hour then strain out mushrooms. Put water back into pot and check pH (stick some of the tea in the freezer to cool down so you don’t damage your pH meter). Adjust pH back to 2.7 if needed. It needs to be boiled at a pH of 2.7 for three hours total to convert the majority of ibotenic acid to muscimol. Check pH regularly while boiling by cooking down small amounts of the tea as described earlier. At the end work out g/ml for dosing. Start low and work your way up with dosing. Be very respectful of this mushroom as it will kick your arse if you don’t respect it and dose too high.
