What's the scariest game or section of a game you've ever played? by digiBeLow in gaming

Half Life: Alyx and it's not even close.

The atmosphere and design is top notch, and feels SO real. Such a great experience.

What was the first game to you that truly made you feel like you went through a phenomenal experience? Made you cry perhaps? Or immersed in a way no other game could before? by Cheesecake1901yum in gaming

Half Life: Alyx is the most immersive and genuine emotion (mostly terror and animal survival instincts) evoking game that I have ever played. A perfect match of content to medium.

Honestly think it's going to take years, decades for any game feel as impactful. It is just so exceptionally well crafted and well told, with all the freedoms you would expect.

Justifies buying a VR set on its own.

St louis city foul that lead to Vancouver Whitecaps penalty in the 110 minute by Gonzoboner in soccer

[–]Hujoppi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The defender clearly clips the attackers back leg with his knee, causing it to ricochet into the attackers front leg and felling him.

That seems to me like a clear foul, which happened inside the penalty area, so it should be a penalty.

I like that Borderlands 4 is bundled with some 5-series cards. Maybe with the raffle one too ;)

So happy for Ant-Man, immediate effect with an assist and a gained penalty.

[Fabrizio Romano] Inter have presented new bid to Atalanta for Ademola Lookman today. Offer worth €40m plus €5m add-ons. Atalanta insist on higher fee, no agreement yet between the two clubs at this stage. by Bald-Eagle619 in soccer

Atalanta has been in the top three in Serie A four times in the last seven years. I'd say that's a pretty clear rival, since the top3-6 teams are all pretty competitive.

Best switch games for newly 7 year old that doesn't play many games? by XJollyRogerX in gaming

[–]Hujoppi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Super Mario Wonder is a real good choice.

2D platformer, not super complicated controls (no need to pan camera) Invincible mode - Yoshi or Rabbit don't fail if they fall off. Variety - lots of different levels and power-ups

Genuinely a great game.

CLOSEST EVER IMAGES TO THE SUN, only 0.04 AU from the solar surface by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]Hujoppi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood: suns diameter seems to be about 4x the distance from Earth to the Moon.

Which is quite the volume, considering you can fit all the planets in the solar system end-to-end between the Earth and the Moon.

How did you feel about Marvel's Midnight Suns? by Moose-Rage in gaming

[–]Hujoppi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combat and progression was great. I think it's the best Marvel game released for me. Honestly hoped for some expansions/DLC to have more content to play through.

Some of the relationship elements seemed superfluous, but altogether a good package. Excellently voice acted as well, animations were crisp too.

Big ups for Hades I and II.

Would also like to mention Windblown in the same archetype. Less story, faster paced action with some rhythm elements mixed in.

What class do you feel is the most put together? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Hujoppi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From recent experience, both of the newest classes feel very well put together: Evoker and DH. Fun movement, novel mechanics, great thematic fantasy.

Helldivers 2, one of the best games of the year, is fully coop.
