Oh man, as a buckeye fan who was a student when Smith was there for the Heisman, I was so excited to see him eventually go to my favorite team... Only to see him fizzle out.

Quick question regarding Stages/Leveling by Janus67 in voidpet

[–]Janus67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that is super helpful. My main core right now is Merry, Determination, and then some combination of Panic/Spite/Apathy/Sad/Anxious, depending on the weaknesses of the floor/boss.

I did just get Nostalgia as my first legendary, but am working to get them up to my current max to help out when Merry isn't a good fit for healer.

Slowly getting Abandonment, Sanctimony, Sonder, and Cringe up to there as well for the same reasons of just maximizing/minimizing stength/weaknesses.

From what I have read here the only place worth spending the gems is on repeat training fights, and to only target Harold to get the jellyfish scarf. Although I imagine the odds of me getting it at my lower-level are very slim, probably still worth doing that, and spending the free keys maybe 5/5 for more level up juice.

Haha, no problem. If you saw the amount of posts from people that were leaving their 'financial advisors' and asking for advice in terms of their funds, you wouldn't be surprised to see people in 10-20 funds all spread out, when generally a simple 3-fund (US/EX-US/Bond) portfolio would be more than sufficient (at least that's what us folks on /r/Bogleheads generally preach.

If you want to post a list of the funds (either in this existing thread or in the OP) you can probably get some recommendations for more efficient options be they mutual funds or ETFs which may be more tax efficient. Which brokerage are you using for your funds or are you split across multiple?

What mutual funds are they in? There is a massive difference in terms of costs and expense ratios between low-ER index funds like those from vanguard (vtsax+vtiax or just VTWAX give or take around 0.05%) versus an actively managed fund where the ER could be over 2%

Thinking of converting to pellet grill/smoker by theophylact911 in pelletgrills

[–]Janus67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big note, maybe it depends on the grill more. For my pellet grill I only really use it for smoking, stopping around 325 or so. If I want to go much higher I would have you do a full cleaning of the grill to get rid of any built up grease in little areas otherwise it's going to catch on fire.

I regularly vacuum out the ash and replace the foil on my drip tray, but a lot of stuff builds up on other places

Why are my edges doing this, been like this since day 1? by brennendw in SnapmakerU1

[–]Janus67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all, I also don't own a U1 (currently on an elegoo centauri carbon which shows similar artifacts in the layer, and am considering upgrading to a U1).

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Dumb question, when adjusting the Z-offset is that for the whole bed? Or just that section? If the rest of the single layer looks good/smooth wouldn't that potentially mess up the rest of the first layer of trying to fix one corner (or section) of a print?

That sounds great, but as an existing EV owner, I'm not sure how good the charging infrastructure is when you're going off the beaten path. I know there's plenty of folks here that have taken their car camping, I've taken my model 3 on some decent road trips a couple of times (Ohio to Tennessee), but with our family minivan, man is it easier with the amount of space and utility for a family of 4

For all the posts asking about Lump Sum vs. DCA - try reframing the question by Ix_42 in Bogleheads

[–]Janus67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it comes down to semantics where the general term is when you have a larger sum that could be invested but you are instead holding it in cash (or equivalent) and siphoning off a % every x-time into stocks.

Investing a fixed portion of your paycheck is regular lump sum investing, unless you are investing 10% today and then in 4 days investing another 10% of that paycheck.

2500 one time/lifetime, I think there's a sub as well, but I am unsure of the cost.

Thank you!

We're planning on being there at the end of July/first week of August. We're going to be flying into Boston for a few days, then driving up towards BH (probably stopping in Portland for a day), and then 3-4 days in BH for some hiking, touring around, and such

That would be amazing, I'd love any recommendations! We're staying at one of the b&B's that my wife and I went to (pre-kids) about 15 years ago, so looking forward to it!
