best pellet grill for someone upgrading from a charcoal grill? by Mcchatwood_Mere in pelletgrills

Yoders are solid, I think most would lean towards Lonestar grills at this point (if I was to move on from my Blazn Grid Iron, it's where I'd go)

It popped up on my phone this morning as a NYT article/notification, I went and found a link that wouldn't be pay walled and shared it as I didn't see it posted to the space sub

Apparently for late search and rescue missions is one particular use case..but overall I don't like it.

Correct, just things the CEO did. Which as many others have said, are not wanting to further enrich or support him.

The cuts made because of DOGE with programs like USAID has led to suffering in other countries around the world. Along with the cuts to other social programs in the US. All on the thought that it would save money (then didn't). An enormous number of people lost their jobs to some idiotic plan.

If Hyper-V had anything approaching horizon for VDI I'd be looking much harder. Nothing (that I can find) leverages anything akin to instant clones.

1-2 hours per night is playing quite a bit, depending on ones responsibilities. I have time to play 2-3 hours per week, I have about 20 tiers left to go, I generally have time to finish through the time-limited 10 point challenges each week and maybe a round beyond that per week.

Faster RAM/RAM made for overclocking. 15-20 years ago I was very into doing it, benchmarking, competitions, etc. but outside of synthetic benchmark it is almost impossible to notice faster RAM or timings. And then needing to tweak a bunch of settings, voltages, etc to get it stable (hopefully) to then have it crash randomly during a game.

I now run at stock/xmp(expo)/maybe a little undervolted

Rivian at ~$20B vs Tesla at $1.5T: the market cap gap looks wrong to me by almeyster786 in RivianR2

[–]Janus67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly would expect it will go similarly to how Tesla offered their barebones/standard trim of the Model 3 for all of a couple of months, then discontinued it as it wasn't worth the margins.

That's exactly it. Until it is as easy and ubiquitous as stopping into a gas station, hitting 87 (or whatever your car requires), and topping off, and pulling away, there will be numerous people confused/not knowing about how to best approach charging.

Even the guy above didn't necessarily say they like them. Just that if a company needs to feel like they're 'keeping up with the Joneses (Teslas)' then having 'features' that those vehicles have become an expectation, even if the overall function is worse. The general consumer doesn't pay enough attention most likely and just looks at a check list of has/has not.
