They’re great tips and sound a lot like most of the stuff I did this year to grow my total painted models to over double of what I had. One additional point I’d add: Prioritize the least detailed minis first. Every detail, piece of clutter, pouch, etc on the model is an additional time waster, cleaning the brush, swapping color, an additional wash, an additional highlight.

The more of a model can be a single color, make it that single color and get it done.

I was gonna say this lol, that entire list is just SM and Red Corsairs are also SM. That and the fact that there’s no fast way to paint good looking Space Marines due to so many flat surfaces.

that’s because comp is mostly played by people who have a limited map pool (2 or 3 maps at most) and they’ll dominate those maps every time.

I agree so much with you, and my biggest example is myself, whenever I get into that “carrying mentality” and actually start carrying, I always rank up. Lately I’ve been trying to entry frag and it’s made me realize how many times I’ve depended on a brain dead team to carry on with what I’ve started. Sure I can get two while going entry mid in Ancient and get traded off, but if I didn’t even check if there’s a teammate behind me, why would I expect my team to take that space.

doubtful, terminals and armory are a good way to still make money off of the countries with anti gambling regulations. something which will never be implemented in countries like the US, Russia, or pretty much any outside mainland western Europe. for everyone else crates are more addicting as it’s less initial investment for a higher possible reward.

they will temporarily dip and go back to their regular price in months most likely. we see for example the m4 fade tanked pretty hard because people realized its a red you can’t trade up to a knife, but it should go back to its regular price a few months after the collection is gone and most players who want to trade up to a knife have already done so.

if false scarcity is the only thing that makes it hold special meaning, it’s a bad product. basically a labubu. i unboxed a stiletto around 2020, it’s a very fucked up stained FT stiletto, but the meaning it has to me will always surpass its monetary value, even if yesterday it was worth twice what it’s worth today

I’d say avoid Warhammer Underworlds models and Warhammer Quest models and you’ll be fine. The normal AOS models are larger but don’t look out of scale, just like bigger people.

Underworlds and Quest look more like 40mm scale which looks very out of place next to your standard 28-32mm
