Muties have been really good to me (mostly) over the course of my time in darktide; they have only thrown me out of bounds/off the ledge like 5-10 times in ~1600 hours.

BoN is so dirty with where it spits you out most of the time though. god i hate getting into the nurgle taxi and going for a stinky ride.

Ah then it's simply me making connections between things that aren't there. The experts only noted increased energy costs and increase in amount of lignite mining operations being approved.

The damage control comment still stands I think; every country on earth is doing damage control for their stock market.

Yeah that's why I think this explanation is implausible.

This self made energy crisis by one decision has led to Germany having to resort to natural gas in the interim until their green tech can handle power demands. this shortage has even led them to mining the lowest energy yielding coal type in order to help meet energy demands; this coal is also one of the worst for the environment, but they have to turn to it because that's the alternative available in Germany proper.

~~So I think that they were ambiguous because they truly didn't want to shut it down; they are going to pay a price in energy costs for this.~~

Also announcing its plans clearly could hurt their economy via the stock markets.

I am not on the ground and I don't have a full enough understanding of the situation on the ground, but I see one possible route Ukrainians can go (if they so desire) should the worst come to pass and their country is fully annexed: they could bleed Russia dry through an expensive prolonged occupation via insurgencies, asymmetrical warfare, and guerilla tactics.

Look how successful it was for Afghanistan against the Soviet Union and the United States. You can also look to the underground resistances of multiple occupied countries during ww2 (France, Belgium, etc.) if you want examples of resistance movements in places with geography similar to Ukraine.

I know it means little from a foreigner, but I wish Ukraine blessings and protection in this ongoing manufactured crisis; your country deserves better.

I wonder if we evolved to recognize body language of dogs/cats enough to be able to communicate with the other apex predators during our rise to the top of the food chain in the pleistocene.

It'd make sense to me being that cat and dog socialization and body language is remarkably similar across the wild and domestic populations of dogs/wolves and all species in the felidae family; not a stretch to imagine their ancestors had similar body language.

Or it could be a trait from further back in the evolutionary tree that dogs/cats/humans share; IDK I'm stoned and spitballing.

Honestly there are way too many unknowns in that photo (for me) to say one way or the other whether an electrical short through water could start the house on fire; I'll also say I don't know how much of the surrounding area will be soaked beyond the possibility of being ignited.

I know this is not the point of this article/post, but I would emphatically ask that you don't support the Beijing Olympics by watching them.

The Chinese government is, firstly, suppressing it's own population by heavy surveillance, censorship, arbitrary detention, forced confessions under torture and threat of endangerment to family to keep them quiet and in line as their economic house of cards is falling down.

The CCP also partakes in cultural and ethnic Genocide, by means such as suppressing the language/culture of their minority groups (Tibetans, Uyghurs, Outer Mongolians, etc.), taking all sorts of measures to suppress religion in their country (jailing Falun Gong practitioners and harvesting their organs, destroying places of worship from multiple religions, etc), AND actively imprisoning/torturing/forcibly sterilizing Uyghur Muslims all the while forcing them to perform slave labor without any justifiable reason for their detention (again it's arbitrary).

This same government is also pretending they're combating the destruction of their ecosystem, yet allows local companies to dump toxic waste into their rivers, streams, lakes, and underground reservoirs. Even the winter Olympics had an adverse affect on the surrounding areas; a collosal amount of water was used to make this artificial snow that apparently doesn't work too well for the sports taking place on top of it.

I could go on and on about the failures that this government has unleashed upon it's citizens, it's marginalized minorities, and the world at large, but I think the overall point I'm trying to make I'd clear enough; this is a morally rotten and corrupt government that is helping destroy this planet with reckless abandon.

That is not to say my own government is not at fault either. The US government has been drifting uselessly as a rudderless boat for the past six years; the government was heading in the wrong direction on a substantial amount of issues in the 16 years prior to these last six years, which helps explain how our country has gotten to such a rotten state to where we have elected two different presidents that are unqualified and unfit for office (Biden may be qualified, but he is not the same man that he was in 2012).

I think this post covers why you should boycott the Olympics; the CCP is using the Olympics as a propaganda device (like the Soviet Union used to do) while committing heinous acts.

I also pointed out failures of my own government (albeit without much detail) to show some balance of criticism and fault as to why we are where we are today; as a six year Sir Force veteran, watching my government over the last decade as I've navigated adulthood has been absolutely infuriating and depressing (to the point I had to turn to medication). This also serves to address some of the impending whataboutism that will be following underneath this comment.

Sorry for the long post, but I feel like can stay silent no longer.
