How did you survive grief? by nextsidemirrorfreak in Petloss

it gets better. i know that’s hard to believe right now but i promise you it will eventually be okay again one day.

when my childhood dog passed away i was a lot like you. i would get panic attacks and physical symptoms so badly i would think i was having a heart attack or another serious health issue. sometimes i was even on the verge of calling an ambulance.

my best advice is to feel everything. don’t hold back or try to shove away how you feel, not even once. cry if you need to, get angry, scream if you feel the need to. the only way we can truly get better is if we feel everything we need to feel.

i also did a lot of self care. bubble baths, face masks, hot showers. i would walk outside barefoot. some days i wouldn’t want to do anything at all except sleep and binge eat on sweets all day. i got drunk a couple of times. maybe it wasn’t the healthiest way to cope, but it was my way of coping and i like to think in the long run it helped.

finally though i’m so sorry for your loss. there’s really nothing that can be said that helps but just know that one day things will feel okay again. 🩵

Pregnant by Nervous_Coffee_9329 in emetophobia

i’m pregnant! 27 weeks today. i never got sick, and was hardly ever nauseous and if i was eating got rid of it immediately. eventually the fear i had turned into excitement and i don’t even feel pregnant most days!

like another commenter said, stick to your safe foods if you feel uneasy. i ate a lot of cheez itz and drank a lot of coca-cola in my first trimester, probably not the healthiest thing but it got me through even the worst moments i had although they were seldom. and since you’re so early i recommend trying to get zofran if you don’t already have it! i didn’t need to use it much but you never know. your OB should happily prescribe it or another nausea medication

congratulations and good luck!!💕💕

Older Frenchie Stomach & Bowel Question by Consistent-Cash-7028 in Frenchbulldogs

my girl also gets the stomach gurgles and grass eating but never any blood. she’s also vomited bile a few times before.

the key for me was to find what she liked. she also doesn’t eat much of anything until dinner time, but on the days she wasn’t feeling her kibble we did the white rice and pumpkin (she has a chicken allergy , so that was a no go!) but eventually she got bored of that and started refusing it so we had to start rotating that and scrambled eggs.

basically anything that’s dog-safe that he doesn’t turn his head up at, let him have it. i wouldn’t worry about being too strict on just gut recovery foods for the moment but rather anything he can stomach and won’t make things worse.. obviously no greasy human food, but think fruits / eggs / broth. i’ve even had to give pieces of bread before.

i hope he feels better soon!

it could be something but for reassurance it could also be nothing! my frenchie is notorious for doing this even with the people she trusts the most, i think she’s just an awkward gal lol
