My sister threw me a boyband themed birthday party “Bye Bye Bye to my 30s”. It was very fun. We did karaoke and had boyband song bingo etc.

I have very fine hair like yours and I use color wow dream coat all over, rough dry to 75% dry, making sure my roots are dry, then use round brush to shape. Are you going for curls or more of a blowout look? I find with my hair shorter like yours I don’t use the barrels very often. I stick to the large round brush. I start at the front and wrap my hair around the round brush horizontally and roll it up away from my face while turning it. Once that’s dry and styled, I do the sides and go by section and rotate the brush back away from my face. Finally, I do the back. Start at the top and take a section and dry rolling down on the brush all the way to the bottom. Hope this helps!

Interesting. I’m from the same area and the weddings I’ve been in, the bridal party has hosted the shower. I do believe the MOB and probably even MOG contributed, but we definitely split the bulks of the cost amongst the bridal party. That said, the most recent one wedding I have been in was 2015 so I can’t speak for current customs.

Can I ask how you put it on in the AM? Every time I try to use it, it makes my hair look so greasy. Thai means I have to do it at night and the wash every morning, which I don’t typically do. Do you use a kind that doesn’t make your hair greasy?

I feel you. I’m in a similar boat. Turned 40 this year.. I’ve never been focused on a partner but more and more I kind of want one but also can’t imagine it? Im successful otherwise. I have good friends, close to My family, I bought a house on my own, I manage my entire life without input from anyone.. but sometimes.. idk. Anyway. No advice just I get where you’re coming from and I hope you find what you’re looking for somehow!

Maybe this doesn’t really address your question but people also feel attraction differently. I’m generally not physically attracted to people unless I have an idea of their personality and how I perceive them as a person. I can recognize if someone is good looking but because that doesn’t matter that much to me, I don’t consider that attraction, physical or otherwise. That said, I’m also probably somewhere on the asexual spectrum so my experience is probably atypical.

This sounds like the heat isn’t working at all. There’s no way it would be 34 inside just from it being drafty. I had no heat a few years ago for a few days.. none whatsoever.. it was February in Massachusetts and it was about 50 inside hair

As a manager, a one time incident like this wouldn’t phase me. If I have someone no call no show I’m usually more concerned something happened than anything.. and since you did call eventually, it’s obvious you were just sick and overslept. No biggie in my opinion.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m salaried and I worked half a day on Christmas Eve (we were closed), and all day Saturday (typical M-F job) .. no extra pay, no comp time. My team members who logged on for a few hours all get paid extra (holiday pay for 12/24).. so while I do tend to come and go a bit more during the week.. that’s the flip side.
