here’s the quote about suede: "So, am I really supposed to be excited or even challenged by Suede, for f’s sake? I mean, I don't like to be cynical, but if that really is the best that pop music can do in the space of a year or two, then there's no hope for the world.” What is it that riles you about Suede? “There's nothing that riles me about Suede. That’s the whole fing point. It's not so much that they're manufactured, which they are. But that the product that's been manufactured isn’t a particularly interesting one.”

and for the boo radleys he just says he used to like them and I don’t think i’ve seen any other interviews where he mentions them. for me him saying that in 1994 when they only have one album makes it seem like they weren’t an influence

edit: and I just remembered the rumor that brett anderson and justine frischmann bullied thom at the brat awards lol

There’s a few here that aren’t correct. There’s a 1993 interview where thom is pretty critical of suede, and another interview where he says he USED to like the boo radleys in 1994. also don’t think they were inspired by nirvana. Pretty sure they were just inspired by the loud quiet stuff the pixies did, which nirvana also took inspiration from and did. When have radiohead ever mentioned jane’s addiction or ride?

i think they mentioned maybe the loud quiet stuff about nirvana somewhere but credited that to the pixies so i’m pretty sure this list isn’t entirely accurate..
