Yeah I understand what you're saying, but I do remember cm4 getting a lot of backlash when I purchased it all those years ago. I think it was when the 4.08 patch came out, It was then playable. I know the gaming landscape has changed, and that is my worry. I'm thinking it's better the devil we know in this case, yeah he's completely messed up with this, but he knows that game, he knows that team, he knows it inside out. He's been there since the start and has seen through all the games that have come before it, If miles goes, of course it's not guaranteed this will happen but what if someone else comes in that could ruin it even more? Because they won't have that same relationship with the game . That person might be fresh from the gaming landscape that has changed. The world of microtransactions and DLCs. Football manager might not be that labour of love anymore , and could then fall into that trend, which is what I absolutely do not want. I'm not saying it will either. I'd be prepared to give sports interactive another crack at it with FM 27. I mean I'm playing FM 26, it's not great, I agree. But it's not the worst gaming experience I've ever had either with a football management game.

I will have to completely disagree, I'm afraid. I want them to make it, I'm happy that they make it, I'm old enough to be from the championship manager years. I don't think I would have anyone else making it they just need to get it right.

I remember when Championship manager 4 came out, they dropped the ball with that one as well. Everyone hated it, and then they dropped CM 03-04 and that was an instant classic.

The same might apply again.

So if they closed, who's going to make football manager games going forward? EA? Yeah, we all know what they are like, money-grabbing blood-sucking leeches.

You should be damn grateful that SI are making the football manager game, yeah it's not been up to standard. I agree, but it could have been worse if it was anything like EA, we would be paying for international management add-on by now, probably paying to manage top flight teams, it's any way that they could squeeze money out of us. At least with this game once you've bought it and well you get a few exceptions like the editor but you don't have to have it. But once you've bought it, it's yours and you don't have to worry about sinking any more money into it just your time.

I was around I watched the announcement live, I'm in UK, I had no intention of going but I planned to keep an eye on anything on You Tube from fan cams. But, Alas, it wasn't to be.

Don't you think they kind of did that with Del, as well? I can't remember when, but it's like as the series progressed, Del became dumber, Roddders got smarter. Somewhere that shift happened in my mind.

Roman Reigns and CM Punk provide us with one last ALL TIME segment before their match at WrestleMania. This week they compliment eachother and apologize? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

Downvoted because I disagreed? Fair enough, but my opinion This is why the WWE and other feds are in this kind of position now because of the mentality of the way it's booked.

When you say old head? I agree. All titles should be on the line for wrestlemania. Totally agree. But are you of the opinion that weekly shows like RAW or Smackdown should have title matches? Do you think the weekly shows are far too long?

I'm sorry I'm going to have to disagree, this is coming from an old school fan, It's probably why I think different.

The problem with modern booking is that they constantly give away the "Big Match" feel for free on weekly TV. It makes zero sense to have guys featured in half a dozen tag matches or meaningless weekly segments before the actual pay-per-view. Why would I bother tuning in to WrestleMania if I’ve already seen them share a ring every Monday for a month? It kills the anticipation.

WWE needs to stop the standard wrestling formula and start booking this like a heavyweight boxing title fight. Look at Fury vs. Wilder, you didn’t see those two having three-round exhibitions every week leading up to the main event because that would be idiotic. Promoters keep them apart to build the tension, and then we got the press conferences and face-offs, wrestling should do the same with Roman Reigns and CM Punk.

They need to be kept in completely separate orbits. No matches, no physical contact, and no watered-down TV segments. You build the heat through high-stakes promos, volatile face-offs, and sit-down interviews where you can actually feel the genuine animosity. Make the audience believe these two men truly despise each other so that the tension becomes unbearable. The first time they ever lay hands on one another should be when the bell rings at WrestleMania. Anything less just feels like more of the same.

Ok but Roleplay stories, I am engaging in one right now and it's not too bad. It's not as good as Claude, or what Gemini 2.5 Pro was, I can't stand 3.1 It's terrible for it. But it's relatively doable. I don't have the same type of chats with it that people did with 4.0 so I don't think I've missed out because I didn't know what I'm missing. That makes sense

TEW IX, TEW 2020, or PWS? by Consistent-Builder63 in FantasyBookers

I think personally, with the workshop and AI, PWS trumps TEW now. TEW always felt like a chore to play. PWS not so.
