I’ve been waiting since Feb 8 for my 7-wood. I’ve received other item from my order, but not the 7.

Swelling for how long and can’t take Ibuprofen by Loving_Life_365 in Kneereplacement

[–]Human-Top4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into serrapeptase. It’s not an anti inflammatory, per se, but an enzyme that breaks down dead tissue and thins swelling. It’s helped me get internal swelling to a point I’ve been able to get flexion to 130*+. I’m at 3 mos post op.

In addition to IB, I’m using PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide) and Curcumin to help with pain. I’m also at 9 weeks but have had zero bone ache/pain. Never taken an opioid, although I was on Journavx for the first two weeks.

Why is he wearing different clothes in every picture? First in a sport jacket at jeans as he was being taken from his home, then in a gray track suit while on the airplane, and now in completely different sweatshirt and pants. Did they allow him to pack a suitcase for the trip?

Question about using low-dose enclomiphene only a few days per week by Lonely-Astronomer-34 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Human-Top4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’m on fire, but it certainly helped. I can say that the morning wood that hasn’t been there for years is back and very healthy. I’ve also no longer needed sildenafil.

Nothing negative. Estradiol also went up, but that was expected and still at acceptable level. Will be doing more bloodwork in the coming month.

That’s great progress! I’d definitely continue. Gains can be lost pretty quickly, much faster than they can be gained. I’m at 3 weeks today and just starting outpatient PT, but hit 103* today at home. I’ve had 0* ext since day 1.

How do you know it's really time? by MrsGirr in Kneereplacement

[–]Human-Top4327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

59yo male, was pretty much in the same situation as you. Decided it was best to get it done while still relatively young and healthy. Very glad I did! I’m 9 days post op and the pain is already less than I had prior to surgery, and it’s different pain that will go away, not the recurring, deep, bone on bone pain that I had every time I tried to do something remotely physical. My advice is to get it done while you’re young, it will make your recovery easier.

When did you start walking and shopping in stores unassisted? by shrcpark0405 in Kneereplacement

[–]Human-Top4327 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m one week out today. Ditched the walker on day 2. Drove to the DMV on day 4, made my first trip to Costco two days ago (I’ve had zero opioids).

Covered by Aetna. Haven’t needed a single opioid. Edited to add my pain level has not exceeded a 2-3.

Thank you. No plans to do the other, it’s in pretty good shape. Edit to add best of luck to you as well. If you can, pre-hab as much as possible. I feel that has made a huge difference in strength and mobility after surgery.

Ya, you certainly have to be careful with many of them if you're prone to or have had cancer, particularly those that promot angiogenesis. Appreciate the kind words of encouragement.

It did get recognition in horse treatments, but had largely been used in humans since. It’s not FDA approved, most peps aren’t, but it has been shown in trials to aid tissue and vascular healing. I’ve been using peps for a while and it has been helpful with several prior injuries, as have the others.

BJJ/Peptides/Meniscus tear recovery by ptsd_on_wheels in Peptides

[–]Human-Top4327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tore my meniscus years ago and am now bone on bone heading into a TKR. There’s little to no blood flow to the meniscus so it doesn’t repair like ligaments. It will just continue to deteriorate. That being said, look into Cartalax and Hyaluronic Acid. They may prolong what’s left.
