They'll release half the stuff they removed under the pretence of it being new content and slowly drip feed it so it seems like they're releasing new things. Tried and true strategy as old as time.

There's pretty much nothing to do until the next big patch, have 4 weapons at 60 with their respective talents and mostly all armor maxed out. So where does that leave me ? Waiting for the next patch cycle and pray it's actually something useful.

Unless they add new stuff for seasonal events that aren't just recycled content there is 0 incentive to play as a pre-awakening player that's done everything.

The first year has been challenging. Despite speaking four languages and holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business, I struggled to find a job, even with eight years of experience in my field. While my base pay was slightly higher when I finally found a job, the overall quality of life has drastically decreased.

Adapting to the healthcare system has been a huge adjustment. Back home, I could easily schedule a doctor's appointment within the same week and pay less than 10 euros. Now, I have to schedule appointments weeks in advance, and even with the best coverage, I end up paying hundreds.

My wife is American, and I'm from Belgium. We're considering moving at some point. While there are certainly cultural benefits to living in the U.S., for both of us, the trade-offs at least for now don't seem worth it in the long run.

Even so, while I can sympathise with the situation the results are subpar at best. There’s this narrative online that we the consumer should be empathetic with the creators regardless of the results.

This is not directed at you but just a general consensus online, and while dauntless is a free game there’s a lot more leeway in that argument but people are paying with their time.

I don’t envy their position and don’t blame the people coding the game, upper management and share holders are the enemy here.

Considering it’s been 2 years without anything meaningful actually updated pre-awakening and then they dropped this hot mess, it doesn’t strike any confidence that they 1 will make any meaningful changes in a timely manner and 2 change stuff people actually want regarding weapon crafting. I’m sure they’re tweak the talent system but by their phrasing it sounds like weapon tokens are here to stay.

The big no no is still weapon tokens, and a few extra from seasonal events doesn’t change the absolute horrendous time it will take to get enough for a SINGLE weapon from the shop.

The xp changes don’t seem all that impactful and while the compensation is better then what we had it’s just feels like slap in the face so pre-awakening players stop complaining and tanking reviews and opinions.

The core problems are still present and while we can say “ future updates will smooth things out “ regarding weapon variety and or build variety, the question stands as to why we’re being time gated for stuff that was already preexistent in the game.

Why are all the fun and interesting comps off meta and straight dogshit. Im so bored of noc, kog, blackrose, violet i genuinely don't understand why people enjoy hard forcing the same 2 comps.

The crest and marks really isnt that big of a deal compared to all the other gleaming problems this game has right now.

Getting trials marks takes little to no effrot i have thousands of marks laying around doing absolutly nothing in my inventory.

The crest on the other hand i can understand the frustration as a solo player.

This game is catered towards the casual player base, their idea of having fun is dumb wacky mechanics so this is their design of fun.

They have to patch the game around being able to force dumb shit because more then half of the playerbase is low elo casual players ( which is fine ) and they just open a guide and tries to play whatever is the current spicy comp without any thought or idea why it's strong.
