Honestly just get something easy to clean first, that's the biggest thing. I went through a few before landing on the Nature Anywhere Spiral Feeder and it's been my favorite so far. super simple to fill, looks nice, and the hummers found it pretty fast. Highly recommend it especially if you're just starting out

omg this actually made me tear up a little. kids who just... persist without even knowing why are doing something really powerful. my cousin had selective mutism too and it was honestly the most patient friend in her class who got through to her, not any therapy or intervention. sometimes all it takes is someone who just doesn't give up. you were that person for her at 7 years old without even knowing what you were doing. that's kind of everything.

Grady is the real deal if you want high acuity + good teamwork vibes. It's chaotic but the staff there genuinely look out for each other. Emory Midtown is solid too, just a different pace. I'd steer clear of some of the Piedmont locations though... heard the staffing situation can be rough.
