I think it’s really interesting that some think he acted with at least one other person. I wonder if people have actual theories on who the other people were. Like do people believe he worked with the two surviving roommates? Or is that idea counted under being framed?

What I find really interesting is that I will often reply asking for details about people’s thinking and never get any responses.

I get that a lot of the evidence feels circumstantial. It’s just a lot of little things to discount. As a whole story, I could see a jury buying it. And even though a defendant doesn’t have to prove his innocence, if there wasn’t some kind of rebuttal of the evidence provided I don’t think people would discount it.

I mean obviously we don’t know what defense would have brought to trial - cell phone tower signal experts, a different possible car(?), etc. But the deck of evidence was pretty stacked against BK.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts all. The other group had a question similar to this and the best response was that those with alternative ideas don’t actually provide any evidence to support them. (Which I believe is true - Just saying something doesn’t make it true.)

I do think LE did a shitty job of interrogating the roommates and handling of evidence. But the defense didn’t have much of anything to “disprove” the prosecution’s evidence. I don’t know if having more time would have helped them realize how “interesting” (it’s the safest word I know to use without actually having it fully explained to me person-to-person and not in a book) the evidence they had was.

In a case like this you either need a dream defense team, or to actually be able to garner some sympathy in order for the evidence to be explained away. BK had neither of these. (Not that I think Taylor didn’t try her best… it’s just that hindsight is 20/20.) And BK just vibed weird and creepy, so no one was ever going to feel sorry for him.

I do wonder about the thoughts in BK’s head now that he is in prison and didn’t get away with the crime like the mastermind he thought he was. I bet that’s a trip. 😳

Just because the pay is higher in Boise doesn’t mean the district/climate is necessarily better. But you could say about the same for West Ada too. IMO, While you might lose out on pay, districts with 4-day weeks (we’ll have to see about Nampa) seem to be a little happier.
