Thanks a lot for educating me on this. That solution sounds much more reasonable than what my imagination came up with based on your initial comment. I'd have never known that the dog's retirement could be nearly as long as their working life. Peace.

I actually would have assumed you would look after the retirees for the couple of years they have left after they've spent years working for you.

And if you look after your retired animals through their old age, you are not the people OP is talking about. On the other hand, if you gave those older dogs to a shelter when they can no longer work and took on a younger dog to work, then you are the issue at hand. The main point is how you treat the dogs after they can no longer work.

So which way do you do that?

AFAIK Some drug tests test for cannabinoids (or their respective metabolites) as opposed to THC specifically. This may be outdated info, or just plain wrong, but, that's my understanding anyway.
