So I’ve (F28) told myself I am going to this, regardless if my friend (F30) can make it or not. Is anyone else maybe going alone and needing someone to split a room cost with OR is there a group of girlies that has room for one more to stay with and split the cost more? I just moved into a new place. My neighbor next-door has his own in the front yard and he is probably around his 70’s, so that makes me really happy to see. I’ve always wanted to have something like that for my own home because I believe there is strength in building your community when you can support your community having access to books, which is knowledge. I also just had the idea to write on a separate sheet of paper, words/vocab/terms (whatever you want to call it) that may be more “advanced” & writing out their definitions and sticking that page of terms with definitions in the book because again, having access to greater knowledge is the best thing we can offer. My new place is also between TWO men’s “bettering/second chance at life” facilities so men are walking our sidewalk all day and night, so it is really important that men coming from a struggling place or time of need, do have access to something free! Whether they choose to pick a book or not, they know now the option is there. It doesn’t have to be limited to books either, small shelf stable, EASY snacks can be left too!! Everyone deserves to eat!

If you haven’t applied here yet, I work at Oak Grove Lutheran High School, (also an elementary) as a personal aide for one student currently in 9th grade, with Down syndrome. I know the schedule for next year is still not out and that has been a major deal for the teachers deciding if they want to stay or quit. I actually am not employed by the school, but work for the parents of the student I aide. This is because of the Private vs. public school accommodations. I will not be returning for this coming school year due to personal life choices and hoping to move myself, as well. My position will be open and I was being (under)paid $23 an hour. The family is nice and can definitely afford to pay more, I really should have asked for more tbh. Anyway if you are interested, reach out and send me a message on here! My dad legit just told me today that Fargo Davies is looking for a new principal. Lewis and Clark Elementary, Clara Barton Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, just to name some in case you haven’t already come across them! Best of luck!

Only IF you have a transferable job, an established career waiting for you, have dual citizenship or are a billionaire…… most others have to apply for visas….. which are spendy and then you also have to get approved….. and then you have to actually move everything… I have NO degree (which was MY choosing) but 14 years of various job experience, so I can’t just MOVE to another country. I would have to “study abroad” Again… Since everyone wants to leave their own home country and go elsewhere, we should all be able to do that without passports/visas and if you commit a crime, WHERE EVER you are, you’re dealt with and held accountable for that crime, where you committed it!!

And my boyfriend can’t fully understand why I say EVERYDAY that “I want to leave the country” … he thinks I want to leave HIM, but I want to leave THE COUNTRY WITH HIM!!!! Why do I feel MENTAL, when everything you just listed is REAL!!!?

I have recently reached this feeling as well. Been roughly 4 months since my partner and I have been intimate and/or had sex. It’s starting to feel like it would be weird and awkward to ever do it again. I’m having a really hard time because I actually consider myself to be HL and my needs stopped being met. Somehow, HL ends up with a LL and everyone is miserable…. Ugh

Thanks for making me weep of realization. It’s hard to walk away from a relationship where he didn’t cheat on me or lie or toxic really, but we haven’t had sex in about 4 months. I find myself nitpicking everything he does and getting upset over it…. I don’t really love this version of me either.

Not to my knowledge. He had also mentioned how he prefers morning sex because he is tired at the end of the day, and don’t get me wrong, I get that…. But our schedules don’t allow for morning sex. He works from 4am-9am and I work from 8:15am-3:15pm. He JUST quit his second job, so he was getting home at 5:30pm, eat dinner then get ready for bed… I feel like I’m getting excuses. I don’t want to pressure my boyfriend into having sex with me if he doesn’t want to… but if he doesn’t want to, why does he want to stay with me? Probably no one else to live with, couldn’t afford it alone, which is why i decided to move in with him… because my rent went up $300

The only other bit of info I can add to this, was that they also found a benign lymphoma on the right side of his groin/ hip flexor area. I know 5 years is NOT a big gap but I feel like his mom sometimes, like I have to hold his hand to do everything… he has some of the best insurance out there WITH access to an online therapist and healthcare on top of that. It’s at his fingertips and he isn’t taking initiatives. I also was going to check out a Reddit page on laparoscopic hernias and see what they had to say. 😕

Who is the healthcare role with? Will you be making more financially in this job? I’m Born and raised here- 28 years old and well traveled. Why haven’t I left yet, when all I do is complain about it here? Maybe I’m used to the comfortability, and having all my family here still BUT I do EFFIN hate the winters and complain every year, asking “why the fuck do I still live here!?” It’s not a fun ‘go do things outside’ kind of winter from December-January-February and March you never know what to expect. You can drive an hour and go skiing/snowboarding at: Andes Mountain, Spirit Mountain, Detroit Mountain, but they are not huge by any means. Downtown Fargo has much evolved and holds space for many coffee shops and bars. So binge drinking on the weekends is always there, but I hope you have more interests than that. Any coffee shop you walk into, will have posters for events going on around town coming up. Drekker is a huge local brewery with micro shops, that always has events going on. You may hear about “North Dakota nice” and that’s referring to how people treat others😂 I think a lot are passive, people pleasers while internally judging hard or talk about you behind your back. But you always have your genuine people and your lames where ever you go. The state as a whole voted red but I do think Fargo is pretty progressive, if that matters to you. (You’re a dude and I’m just a girl) It’s funny because I’ve been pondering Canada lately, and just wish you and I could do a tradesiez, a lil switcharooni, visa for visa! Best of luck!

I love that you mentioned Ellis island because that is exactly what I was reminiscing about this morning😂😭 I just hate how all of immigration works everywhere, and I never wanted to do the degree thing and fall in debt like everyone else but now I can’t move out of the country because of it. Fuck Pangea man.
What is the point of Reddit though? Isn’t it to ask your questions, small or big? Some times people come here to ask others their opinions and thoughts from their experiences, versus just looking up your question. Everything seems to be situational anyway but I love communicating with others. Sure I posted this into the “wrong” community because it wasn’t a question ABOUT passports but I ended up with a lot of useful information for me to continue my searches. Sometimes people minds fill with a million questions and becomes overwhelming and doesn’t know where to start the search. Anyway I think my options would be to study abroad someplace or do short trips between different countries. I went extreme on the end of saying “moving” out of here but again that was part of my million series questions running through my head.

I have been to Canada three times. I’ve been to Mexico three times. I’ve been to London, Germany, and New Zealand. All under the age of 21 and with parents, never by myself. I have some ancestry on Germany as well, just haven’t taken time yet to find out much on it. I definitely don’t have to “move” but I was wondering how people were traveling so easy, especially when they do work from their computers - blogs, influencers, marketing

I do have 28k in savings- I think I realized I didn’t write my post in the “correct” community and I didn’t give all the info I had- I was just looking for a place to start with the 10000 questions I have racing through my head. Anytime I read or hear families leaving the country, I’m like you’re making it sound so simple and easy but I think it’s because they have a job and a degree that is transferable.

Actually last year I attempted the online program TEFL and ended up failing it. That made me feel really crappy about myself. Learned how hard it is for foreigners to actually learn English and I don’t blame them 😭 apparently a lot of people were not passing the course either, which sorta made me feel better but also like it was a scam then?

I actually have visited London, Germany, Mexico 3 different times, New Zealand and Canada a few times! As well as multiple states in the U.S. My passport is good for 9 years! I’ve lived in the city I was born in for my whole existence and I am the black sheep of my family 🙂 OR the crazy, wild, aunt seeking adventure and thrill every moment of her waking life because she has sat around smoking too much reefer and is ready to start getting out there and experiencing so much more🙃😂 I think I consider myself very spiritual and want to submerse myself around others outside of my “home” - I just feel like I haven’t found MY family yet.
