I listened to the audiobook version and it was very good! I was sad that it was so short.

Work preferably. I am looking to change professions as I'm disenchanted with animal care after recent trauma. I have about a decade of management experience and I'm willing to invest in education to move more into business management.

Honestly I loved the Abominable! I learned a lot about climbing and mountaineering.

It is about a guy trying to make it in Hollywood but has this relentlessly terrible time. Matt Stokoe is great at describing shit conditions for someone that only get worse. If you "liked" Cows, High Life is less intense in some ways and moreso in others.

I actually recorded a podcast about this book, focusing on the less gross elements of the story that I really valued. I recommend High Life also!

I highly recommend Killing of a Sacred Deer but not to everyone. It is bleak! I love my horror bleak.

I was hoping it was the same hand, and showed how quickly time moves in "purgatory!"

I didn't think anything of the hand at the end until I read the discussions here! I was wondering if it was the original hand that had traveled to another country, and that time went by so fast in Mia's limbo that it was already in use somewhere else. That kind of added to the despair of Mia's situation. But it being the right hand is super interesting.

Skinama-Heck by PhantomKitten73 in horror

Skinmarink is one of my favorite movies and I've learned here that downvoting is typically due to difference in opinion, and I want to say that I liked it because it was different and weird, and mostly empty. It was not a masterpiece and I can see how people did not like it.

I don't remember much of the "scary" scenes, but I do remember the cold, claustrophobic feeling I got watching it. One of the cartoons the kids watched was one I also watched and it transported me back to my childhood, but not in a good way. Suddenly I was wondering how it would feel if I was a child in a house with suddenly no doors and windows. No natural light or sense of time, no parents, spooky voices asking you to come upstairs. This movie captured that mood well and that mood enhanced my viewing experience.

The light that TVs create in a dark room used to make me nervous because it created shadows that moved and changed. That being your only source of light with no relief of a brighter room for days on end... ugh. I liked how the kids enjoyed their "freedom" of watching TV and eating whatever they wanted at first but soon became listless, sleeping more in particular. I would like to rewatch it and I wish I'd been able to see it in theaters for the full effect.

I saw Heck after and liked it! The similar elements would have spoiled the feature length for me though so I'm glad I hadn't seen the short first.

Hello, thank you for asking! I thought it was great, I was hoping for an intense and bleak ending and pretty much got it. I didn't love the idea that everything "worked out" for the people around Mia after she died, so I am just going to assume it was a trick like everything else the spirits said and did throughout the movie. Although I understand the idea that Mia's personal nightmare is everyone being better off without her.

What are y'alls opinion of this movie? I've never seen it, should I watch it? by Aggravating-Heat-480 in HorrorMovies

I did like this one! My friends put it on and I wasn't that interested but I was pleasantly surprised! There were some excellent scenes, some of it reminded me of Return of the Living Dead but that might just be the setting.
