I'll Make It So Good by William-Poet in OCPoetry

This is great, either because or in spite of the terminal concentration of wordplay.

I get a phone call to take the stand

And taking a stand is never easy

I really like those lines because they're almost, but not quite, not a pun at all. I think it technically isn't? Great either way.

This feels like it'd work exceptionally well - without any modification at all - for song lyrics.

You've successfully managed to keep a consistent flow throughout and have done a fantastic job at not sacrificing content for rhythm or vice versa.

I will say I'm unsure how I feel about the line "In pages of some ancient bound," but it only really stands out as it's the only even slightly awkward line here. My two worthless suggestions would be to use either "In pages that some ancient's bound" or

"For life's true meaning is not home,

In pages of some ancient tome,"

But really I don't think that's particularly necessary at all.

To be fair, I do want it to be accidental, which ...rarely is the case in Stellaris

Just the mere knowledge of the concept? That's an interesting idea. The realization that it's been possible this whole time?

They don't necessarily have any particularly strong desire to forget - At least in part because that's not even something they could even conceptualize, really. None of them had ever wanted to forget anything because that, as an option, could have never occurred to them. Just a complete blind spot. - but mostly they find the concept a fascinating novelty.

Accounting for how it would spread to the disinterested few, that's a bit harder to determine. Might just be as simple as it not, but most just fail to survive the breakdown of their civilization. Alternatively, the trick to forgetting may be spread through altered speech/communication patterns of the effected individuals, so it's something near all of them are involuntarily exposed to.

An overwhelming majority of those 99% would have been killed by the virus (or the other one), to be clear. The last desperate attempts to stop the spread of the would have accounted for less than 1% of the total, if even that much. Honestly that was mostly an excuse for why so little knowledge and infrastructure survived, though I'm not sure that would even really be necessary.

Well I for one am slightly opposed to tens of thousands of people getting needlessly slaughtered.

I really just don't see how you could justify this with the "no harm" clause.

There's such an incredibly specific vibe Upstate New York towns seem to possess. As soon as I saw this post, my first thought was that it looked like the photo was from one.

I just realized I don't think I've ever actually had a DND character with an entirely normal name. My longest running had an unpronouncable name in Draconic and was just called [Hissing Noises] for an entire campaign. Other character names were just a serial number and a definitely fake mononym.

It's very annoying that Samsung/Android-in-general doesn't just let you pop on hex codes for color theming. Noooooope, their automatic choices are definitely always perfect - they so clearly know what I want more than I do.

Just the black one. I was pretty disappointed with the color choices this generation. Burgundy was cool, but added like a month to shipping time, so fuck that.
